Role Definition
Leads team supporting operations and manufacturing processes, tooling and tool design, and equipment needed to successfully and economically produce assigned parts/products in accordanced with engineering specifications.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Process Validation team to ensure manufacturing processes are thoroughly validated prior to production. Ensure alignment with internal manufacturing standards, facility objectives, and New Product Introduction (NPI) goals, while maintaining compliance and driving operational excellence
- Oversee industrial engineering functions including line balancing, cycle time determination, manpower analysis and layout optimization
- Develop and maintain documentation for validation protocols, reports, and standard work
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design, quality, and operations teams to support new product introductions and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and cost efficiency
- Leading manufacturing processing, cost estimating, cost management, systems planning, layout, standards, releasing, etc.
- Managing development, implementation and continual improvement of the operating methods, equipment, systems and other operating infrastructure used to realize operating goals and objectives.
- Utilize data-driven approaches to solve complex manufacturing challenges and optimize throughput.
- Mentor and guide a team of engineers to achieve departmental goals and technical excellence

JOB PURPOSE: This position is to execute the Operations activity (might include one or more of the activities of assembling parts together, component(s) inspection, paint parts handling or Quality Inspection) at the manufacturing site for building the machines or measure and improve the product quality meeting the facility PQVC requirement. This position is expected to perform physical activity handling component not more than 8kgs by hand for the stipulated Shift hours at the factory.
This position must ensure his own safety as well as people around him by following the safe behavior and through highlighting any unsafe behavior with people around him. This is critical to ensure zero incident at any time in the production line and inside the factory premises. This position is also expected to review the quality check points and ensure adhering to it to meet Zero defect per unit /component as might be applicable.

Execute daily assigned task as per the instruction and within the time specified in the Standard work sheet
Adhere to PPE's as specified in the SWS during the execution of work
Maintaining 5S in their respective work location
Ensure adherence to shift start and end time
Actively participate in daily PID
Responsible for generating and working on Continuous Improvement ideas
Participate in RIWs for their assigned area of responsibility
Achieve the SIMple Goals assigned to the respective individual

**Description**
As a Manufacturing Automation Engineer, the candidate will work for BCP Manufacturing Engineering team at Tiruvallur, Chennai. The incumbent will be responsible for manufacturing process planning and execution, layout design and planning, continuous improvements, tooling/fixture design, process and quality control, new product design. The candidate should have the ability to lead continuous improvement and new product introduction projects.

+ Create the conceptual Automation design solution for Specific product assembly process considering all standards
+ Integrate robotic systems into existing manufacturing processes for enhancing Safety, Productivity and Quality
+ Industrial networking and communication protocols for seamless data exchange between devices and systems
+ Safety standards and regulations for ensuring automated systems operate without risk to personnel or equipment
+ PLC, SCADA and Robotic Programming knowledge
+ Design and develop Digital Architecture for live dashboards and process application
+ Capable to design and develop assembly fixtures and jigs integrating Automation
+ Project management skills
+ Risk analysis & feasibility study for engineering design
**Manufacturing Process: -**
+ Develop the complete process flow for proto, pilot and production process.
+ Process control documents like SFMEA, PFD, PFMEA, CP, Work instruction
+ Drives facility and process improvement metrics
**Continuous Improvement & Planning: -**
+ Ability to identify issues and develop innovative solutions with respect to automation
+ Identify, plan and deploy new strategic assembly process and Robots to enhance safety and process efficiency.
+ Coordinates the current product improvements through Engineering change process management.
+ Lead Automation projects related to standard hour reduction and improving process efficiency.
+ Coordinates with Cross functional team for conducting the process audits and driving improvements to enhance process and product quality.
**Basic Qualifications**
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Mechanical/Production Engineering or related technical discipline
5 years overall experience with at least 3+ years in Industrial Automation projects.
