Intent
The Corrosion Engineer will be providing corrosion and erosion modelling support across all of bp’s operations and projects. Systematically applying and continuously improving bp’s modelling capability.

Responsibilities
- Provide corrosion modelling support to both operations and projects

- Support the development of central tools and processes, preparation of central guidance documents or procedures as required.

About the Role:
You may work on clastic, deep-water, paralic, non-marine and carbonate reservoirs, supporting our hydrocarbon and low carbon businesses, and delivering new wells. You will be deployed into one of our Reservoir Performance, Reserves Well Planning or Carbon Collection and Storage. You will apply your deep -technical skills in geology and subsurface integration detailed appreciation of subsurface uncertainty and risk deliver: subsurface descriptions, reservoir performance models, reserves estimates and well plans which all underpin resource progression and development planning for assets within bp’s global oil, and gas and carbon capture low carbon portfolio.
What will you deliver:
As an individual technical contributor, working closely with other subsurface fields and other business units such as the Wells organisation,, you will deliver high-quality geological inputs to progress prioritised business opportunities.
You will interpret and integrate core, well-log, seismic, analogue, and dynamic data (pressure, production etc.) to develop and refine the coordinated structural, stratigraphic, depositional, rock property and fluid frameworks · which underpin coordinated subsurface products.

About the Role
As a GSS exploration geophysicist, you will have the opportunity to support activity across a diverse set of locations and projects across the global portfolio. In your role, you will bring forward exploration and appraisal opportunities that makes valuable contributions to bp. You will be entitled for characterizing the subsurface, undertaking regional basin evaluation, developing prospect and lead inventories and maturing prospects for exploration assessment and decision.

The offshore structural engineer will provide subject area expertise for project and operation support, including greenfield and brownfield projects, operational modifications, life extension, and decommissioning support. The engineer will proactively collaborate with other subject areas and contractors to systematically resolve technical challenges, apply sound engineering judgment to drive integrated, pragmatic solutions for risk management, project delivery, operational efficiency, defect elimination, and standardization.
The offshore structural engineer would be based in Pune, India.
We are looking for a candidate with broad experience in both topside (floating or fixed) and jacket design, construction, and installation, as well as a proven technical background who can make fit-for-purpose recommendations for projects and operations. What you will deliver

- You will be a coordinated member of the central Civil & Structural (C&S) team, Pune branch, providing technical service work for operations and projects to ensure the safe delivery of projects and the maintenance of operating assets in a suitable condition to deliver the company’s safety and business goals.
- As an offshore structural engineer, you will:
- define the structural engineering scope of work for new construction, modifications to existing assets, life extension, and decommissioning, focusing on topside structure or jacket;
- Provide technical assurance for third-party engineering deliveries, ensuring design and operations follow industry codes, company technical practices, and performance standards;
- Perform independent verification for challenging analyses conducted by third party engineers;
- Manage relationships with third-party providers and contractors;
- assess the impact of significant weight and metocean changes to operating assets, and
- deliver fit-for-purpose solutions that consider operational constraints and asset as-is conditions.
- You will actively supply to the offshore systems Community of Practice by sharing the standard processes and learning. Additionally, you will:
- support the Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) with the development and upkeep of company engineering technical practices, ensuring they are fit for purpose, and
- work with SMEs to address lessons learned.
- You will drive efforts to ensure offshore structural risks, including pre-service and in-place conditions, operation, or metocean factors, are understood, controlled, and continuously reduced across the business to deliver safe and reliable results, and effectively communicate these risks to business and technical team members.

- Ensures that the inspection, testing, maintenance and condition monitoring tasks in CMMS and Operator Workbench are aligned with the technical intent of Equipment Strategies
- Develops and updates the technical content of Equipment Strategies based on equipment performance feedback and performs periodic review of CMMS and Operator Workbench efficiency
- Performs reliability analysis for instrument, control and electrical equipment using surveillance, maintenance and condition monitoring data, and trends performance metrics
- Leads on resolution of complex, multi-discipline technical issues where the dominant component is instrumentation and control equipment
- Assures quality and consistency of surveillance and accurate reporting of excursions
- Reviews and approves discipline-owned critical document updates including but not limited to P&ID, PFD, Operating Procedures and Cause and Effects
- Deliver the technical requirements that underpin the agreements with supplier for control and instrumentation including company standard requirements and Functional Design Specifications. Work directly with MACs (Main Automation Contractors) and MIC (Main Instrument Contractors) on implementation of Joint Development Plan
- Plans and provide technical feedback to MAC / MIC performance to support the implementation of the Main Automation Contractor and Main Instrumentation Contractor strategy on projects
- Work with projects, operations and suppliers to resolve control and instrument technical and supply issues as required
- Records relevant findings in shared learning systems, incorporates into local activities and escalates high priority lessons
- Participates to digitalization initiatives by defining the operational needs for the subject area and actively contribute for the design, development and implementation of the digital solution
- Lead and develop a plan for obsolescence management and provide oversight for implementation
- Lead and develop a plan for digital security compliance for ICE systems including agreement of SV schedule with Squad Lead
- Perform oversight on contractor’s day-to-day activities in support of the Programmes / asset operations
What you will need to be successful
Must have educational qualifications:
- Degree in Mechatronics / Instrumentation / Chemical Engineering / electrical
Preferred education/certifications:
- Chartered Engineer or registered professional engineer
- TUV certification
Minimum years of relevant experience:
- 8 years in oil and gas/petrochemical/ refining/ chemical or equivalent
Total years of experience:
- 8-12 Years
Must have experiences/skills (To be hired with):
- Substantial experience and technical understanding of engineering, maintenance and operation of instrument and control equipment including troubleshooting support, reliability, obsolescence and equipment lifecycle issues, alarms management, functional safety, digital security and software in oil & gas processing facilities
- Good knowledge of governing codes, industry standards (eg - API, IEC, ISA, ATEX, IEEE, BS) and local laws relevant to I&C engineering, and proven track record in practical application of engineering standards and practices for instrument and control equipment
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact effectively with people at all levels in the field and office
- Process or Process Control Engineering experience at a Refinery or Petrochemical Plant
- Good working knowledge of the control system platform(s) of at least one major DCS vendor
Good to have experiences/skills (Can be trained for – learning/on-the-job):
- Experience with application of process control and/or advanced process control with a significant amount of this experience gained from working in an operational environment
- Experience with brownfield modifications, equipment skid packages design, front end engineering, prioritising, technical evaluation
- Experience of working as part of a remote team with a collaborative approach to delivery
- Track record of engaging across teams and functions to deliver engineering improvements centrally
- A proven record of accomplishment in risk management, process safety management and contractor performance management
- Proven record of accomplishment in delivering results under pressure

About the role :
The Predictive Maintenance and Inspection Programme Analyst is for accountable for the delivery of all planned inspection and maintenance programmes, including legislative inspection and testing, the evaluation of programme results, verification of work quality and recommendation of residual work as necessary. Has accountability for the inspection and testing service provider delivery, relationship, cost management and performance management under delegation of authority.
The Predictive Maintenance and Inspection Programme Analyst shall be responsible for contract scope of supply and should be competent to define, performance manage and deliver service level agreements for in-service equipment within scope, health and safety performance, financial remuneration and budget control and performance management.
The Predictive Maintenance and Inspection Programme Analyst is responsible developing a predictive approach to maintenance; by working closely with inspection and maintenance contractors to evaluate common faults and findings, consolidate root causal data, manage remote connectivity of in-service equipment, remote diagnosis activity by contractors and recommend to Maintenance Contract Managers changes to maintenance regimes.
Predictive Maintenance and Inspection Programme Analyst should be responsible for maintenance ticket management and act is first level business contact in event of partner concern regarding planned inspection or maintenance works.
Experience and Job Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years work experience in a commercial or operational environment, ideally with exposure to maintenance or construction and contract management
• Track record in programme, maintenance management, preventative maintenance and digital enabling tools will be an advantage.
• Experience in forecourt retail preferred.
• Highly analytical, with good commercial skill.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated and performance driven.

forecourts in the UK.
