Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO professional with strong expertise in Product Costing (Discrete, Process, or Repetitive Manufacturing). The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring, supporting, and optimizing SAP Costing processes, ensuring accurate product cost estimates, cost of goods manufactured (COGM), cost of goods sold (COGS), and variance analysis in SAP S/4HANA (or ECC).
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and implement SAP Product Costing solutions, including:
- Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Activity Types, Cost Element Accounting
- Product Cost Planning (PPC), Standard Cost Estimation, BOM & Routing integration
- Actual Costing / Material Ledger (ML)
- WIP, Variance Calculation, Settlement of Orders
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to gather requirements and design solutions aligned with business needs.
- Support monthly/quarterly closing activities related to product costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Provide end-user training and documentation on costing processes.
- Troubleshoot issues and provide production support for SAP costing-related processes.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting principles.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of SAP FICO experience with strong focus on Product Costing .
- Hands-on experience with Standard Costing, Actual Costing, Material Ledger .
- Good understanding of integration with MM, PP, SD, and CO-PA .
- Strong knowledge of BOMs, Routings, and Work Centers for cost roll-ups.
- Experience in variance analysis, WIP, and settlement processes .
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA Finance is a strong advantage.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Make-to-Order (MTO) and Make-to-Stock (MTS) costing scenarios.
