Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct nutritional assessments of employees and patients visiting the OHC.
- Design personalized diet charts for employees with lifestyle disorders (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, obesity, cardiovascular conditions).
- Provide dietary guidance for individuals exposed to occupational risks, high-temperature environments, and physically demanding tasks.
- Plan balanced, nutritious menus for the Shramik Vihar canteen (contract workforce) and plant canteens (employees), ensuring alignment with occupational health and energy needs.
- Monitor food quality, hygiene standards, and portioning in canteens to ensure compliance with nutrition and safety norms.
- Counsel employees on healthy eating practices to prevent occupational fatigue and lifestyle-related illnesses.
- Develop nutrition programs to support worker well-being, immunity, and energy levels.
- Conduct awareness sessions, workshops, and health talks on balanced diet, workplace nutrition, hydration, and stress-related eating.
- Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and physiotherapists in the OHC to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain records of dietary assessments, menu plans, interventions, and progress for compliance and reporting purposes.
- Stay updated on best practices in clinical nutrition, occupational health nutrition, and industrial dietary management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Nutrition & Dietetics, Food & Nutrition, or equivalent.
- Registered Dietician certification preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Dietician, preferably in occupational health, hospital, or industrial healthcare setup.
- Strong knowledge of clinical nutrition, occupational health nutrition, and preventive healthcare.
- Experience in large-scale menu planning and industrial canteen management will be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication, counseling, and interpersonal skills.

Role Purpose
To lead and manage the refractory function in the steel plant, ensuring reliable refractory performance, cost optimization, and continuous improvement to support uninterrupted operations
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic & Planning
- Formulate and implement refractory strategies for SMS, LF, BOF/EAF, CCM, and other plant units like BF, LDP, Mills, Power plant.
- Plan refractory requirement (monthly, quarterly, annual) in alignment with production targets.
- Develop vendor strategy (indigenous and global suppliers) to ensure quality, timely delivery, and cost efficiency.
2. Operations Management
- Supervise refractory installation, gunning, ramming, and relining activities across furnaces, ladles, tundishes, and other equipment.
- Monitor refractory consumption, wear patterns, and campaign life of critical vessels (BOF/EAF, LF, RH, CCM tundish).
- Coordinate with Production & Maintenance teams to minimize downtime due to refractory issues.
3. Technical & Performance Monitoring
- Analyze refractory performance data (consumption per ton of steel, ladle life, furnace lining performance).
- Introduce best practices and innovative technologies (pre-cast shapes, monolithics, advanced lining designs).
- Conduct failure analysis and implement corrective measures for refractory breakdowns.
- Benchmark performance against industry standards.
4. Cost & Inventory Control
- Optimize refractory cost per ton of steel without compromising quality.
- Control inventory levels, ensure timely procurement, and prevent stock-outs or overstocking.
5. People Management
- Lead, train, and develop refractory engineers, supervisors, and contract workforce.
- Ensure strict compliance to safety and housekeeping practices in refractory yards and during relining jobs.
- Drive skill development for in-house refractory maintenance teams.
6. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and statutory guidelines during refractory handling, storage, and usage.
- Implement safe working procedures for hot repair and relining jobs.
Qualification & Experience
- Education : B.Tech/M.Tech in Ceramic Engineering / Metallurgy
Experience : 15–20 years of refractory management in steel plant operations (BOF/EAF, LF, CCM)
