Crust N Crumb, a leading name in baking & confectionery solutions , is looking for a Senior R&D Manager to lead product innovation in cake mixes, bakery ingredients, and confectionery applications .
We are seeking someone who has extensive expertise in bakery ingredients R&D and preferably, added exposure to seasoning / QSR-style coatings & marinades .
- Lead new product development (NPD) for cake mixes, improvers, bakery ingredients, and confectionery solutions.
- Drive recipe innovation, optimization, and scale-up from lab to production.
- Ensure all formulations meet FSSAI / HACCP / GMP standards.
- Support cost optimization through raw material evaluation and alternate formulations.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and procurement teams to align projects with market needs & customer briefs .
- Monitor competitor products & global bakery trends to inspire innovation.
- Provide technical training and support to internal teams and key customers.
- (Preferred) Contribute to expansion of our seasoning / QSR range – crispy coatings, marinades, savory mixes.
- Bachelor’s / Master’s in Food Technology, Food Science, or Bakery & Confectionery Technology .
- 8–12 years’ R&D experience in bakery, cake mixes, or related food manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of enzyme systems, emulsifiers, hydrocolloids, stabilizers used in bakery.
- Proven track record of product innovation and commercialization in bakery.
- Familiarity with ERP/SAP systems and good computer skills.
- Excellent communication skills (English; Hindi/Malayalam a plus).
- Exposure to seasoning / QSR product systems (preferred but not mandatory).
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and team management skills.
