We are seeking a results-driven and strategic Academic, Research & EdTech Sales and Business Development Professional to manage our existing accounts. The role involves driving engagement with universities, colleges, research institutes to the ecosystem of
education and research as a whole.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts, ensuring strong relationship management and satisfaction.
- Conduct regular onsite visits to maintain close engagement with clients and address their evolving needs.
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell Neysa.ai’s solutions to existing clients, driving revenue growth.
- Develop a deep understanding of client requirements, industry trends, and market demands to tailor solutions accordingly.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including product, marketing, and customer success, to deliver seamless client experiences.
- Generate and maintain sales reports, account performance metrics, and pipeline forecasts.
- Work towards achieving and exceeding sales and account expansion targets.
- Stay updated on competitors and industry developments to strategize effectively.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 6 to 7 years of experience in sales, account management, business development, or a similar role.
- Strong background in managing and growing accounts (farming), ideally within education, edutech, SaaS, or enterprise tech.
- Comfortable with on-ground travel and direct client engagement.
- Demonstrated ability to identify new revenue opportunities within existing relationships.
- Proven ability to upsell, cross-sell, and maximize revenue from existing accounts.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Self-motivated and target-driven with a proactive approach to client engagement.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Prior experience in AI, SaaS, or technology-driven industries is a plus.
- Experience working with academic stakeholders (faculty, department heads, procurement, IT) is a plus.
