Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and technically sound professional to lead the Manufacturing Engineering and New Product Introduction (NPI) functions in a high-precision aerospace manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in process planning, machining strategies, and hands-on experience on the shop floor—particularly with high-precision components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee end-to-end process planning for aerospace detail part manufacturing.
- Lead project planning , including resource identification, scheduling, and milestone tracking.
- Manage First Article Inspections (FAI) and ensure smooth New Product Development/Introduction (NPD/NPI) .
- Identify appropriate machining processes, fixtures, and tooling strategies for complex components.
- Apply knowledge of CNC milling, turning , and other critical aerospace machining processes.
- Ensure compliance with special processes and handle a variety of aerospace-grade materials .
- Interpret and implement GD&T as per ASME standards in process planning and execution.
- Oversee special tool design, procurement, and management .
- Create and maintain PPAP and PFMEA documentation.
- Utilize standard clamping elements and recommend optimal solutions for fixture design.
- Ensure strict adherence to Configuration Management , including Engineering Change Notices (ECN) and change control processes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing efficiency and process optimization.
- Experience with Mastercam software will be considered a strong advantage.
- Ensure full compliance with AS9100 quality standards.
Candidate Profile:
- Hands-on shop floor experience is a must – candidates with only virtual manufacturing experience will not be considered.
- Demonstrated expertise in handling high-precision components in a live production environment.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to mentor and lead cross-functional teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
