As an AI Platform Architect, you will define and evolve the architecture of AGCO's AI platform, designing the technical foundation that empowers teams to deliver AI solutions efficiently, securely, and with confidence. **Your Impact**
+ Define the reference architecture for AGCO's AI platform, covering AI/ML data pipeline platforms, model training infrastructure, CI/CD for ML, artifact management, observability, and self-service developer tools. Ensure platform services are scalable, auditable, and cost-efficient across heterogeneous workloads, e.g., computer vision, GenAI, machine learning, etc.
+ Design core platform services such as containerized training environments, experiment tracking, model registries, and reusable orchestration patterns.
+ Architect integration interfaces (API/CLI/UI) that allow AI delivery teams to self-serve platform capabilities reliably and securely.
+ Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, AI PODs and Product Engineering teams to ensure interoperability across systems. Support model deployment across cloud, internal APIs, dashboards, and embedded systems in agricultural machinery.

**Your Experience and Qualifications**
+ 10+ years of experience in Software-, ML infrastructure- or Platform engineering, including 3+ years in AI platform architecture. Proven success designing and deploying enterprise-grade ML infrastructure and AI platforms
+ Deep expertise in cloud-native technologies and principles (GCP), e.g. Vertex AI, Cloud Run, GKE, Pub/Sub and Artifact Registry as well as automation, elasticity and resilience by default
+ Experience with CI/CD for ML using tools like GitHub Actions, Kubeflow, and Terraform. Strong knowledge of containerization, reproducibility, and secure environment management (e.g. Kubernetes, AWS ECS, Azure Service Fabric and Docker)

We're looking for a seasoned Staff AI Platform Engineer to join our IT Enterprise Data & AI Platform Team. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Enterprise Data Strategy, you will be responsible for:
+ Leading the creation of a scalable and modular AI platform utilizing technologies like Qdrant, Anyscale, and Ray for LLM orchestration, vector search, and multi-agent frameworks
+ Building essential APIs and infrastructure to enable conversational applications, AI agents, and analytics tools
+ Executing workflows for Large Language Models, including inference pipelines, fine-tuning, caching, and evaluation for both open-weight and hosted models
+ Deploying AI services on AWS using Kubernetes (EKS), Lambda, and ECS, while fine-tuning vector databases and model runtimes for optimized cost, scalability, and performance
+ Partnering with engineering teams for smooth AI integration, establishing governance and security standards, and mentoring junior engineers on best practices in AI infrastructure development and reviews
**What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)**
+ 8+ years of experience in software, data, or ML infrastructure engineering, including 3+ years in AI/ML platform development, with strong Python expertise
+ Skilled in independently managing complex projects with excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication abilities
+ Proficient in AWS, GCP, or Azure, with experience in MLOps tools like MLflow/Kubeflow, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (Terraform/CloudFormation)
+ Expertise in model observability, CI/CD processes, and incident response for AI/ML services
**What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)**
+ Experience in implementing LLM pipelines with frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face, and using vector databases like Qdrant, Pinecone, or Weaviate
+ Proficient in distributed orchestration frameworks like Anyscale or Ray Serve, with expertise in containerized application deployment using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm charts
+ Strong knowledge of LLMOps patterns, including model registry, prompt versioning, and feedback loops

**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Leading AI Solution Development: Drive the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML and Generative AI solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and performance across global environments.
+ Establishing Best Practices: Define standards for LLMOps/MLOps, model lifecycle management, governance, and compliance while embedding responsible AI principles.
+ Building High-Performance Teams: Lead, mentor, and upskill engineers, data scientists, and architects; foster an innovation-driven culture with measurable impact.
+ Driving Generative AI Adoption: Develop and deploy agentic AI systems, RAG pipelines, vector databases, and AI orchestration frameworks that integrate seamlessly into enterprise workflows.
+ Owning Governance & Compliance: Implement robust security, privacy, and ethical AI practices; enforce policies for model explainability, drift monitoring, and lineage tracking.
+ Innovating Continuously: Evaluate and adopt emerging AI technologies (LLMs, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, vector DBs) and run proof-of-concept initiatives to keep 3M ahead of the curve.
+ Partnering Across the Enterprise: Act as the AI thought leader, collaborating with business stakeholders, cloud architects, and product teams to deliver transformative solutions.
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (completed and verified prior to start).
+ Two to three years of experience in AI/ML engineering, data science, or platform leadership roles.
+ Strong expertise in MLOps and LLMOps, with hands-on experience using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Airflow, MLflow, LangChain, or Semantic Kernel.
+ Deep experience in cloud ecosystems (AWS or Azure) and working knowledge of multi-cloud integration.
+ Proven track record of delivering production-grade AI systems, including model deployment, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation).
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
+ Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
+ Strong understanding of LLMs and Generative AI frameworks, vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, OpenSearch), and prompt engineering techniques.
+ Experience in AI product development and scaling AI applications in enterprise environments.
