Key Responsibilities 

;

Shipment Coordination and Execution:

Plan, organize, and manage air export shipments to ensure timely delivery.
Coordinate with shippers, consignees, and carriers for booking arrangements, pick-ups, and deliveries.
Handle and prepare required export documentation, including invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and bills of lading. 

 Customs and Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all customs regulations and documentation requirements.
Coordinate with customs brokers and regulatory bodies to ensure shipments meet all import/export regulations.
File and verify the accuracy of documents required for customs clearance.

 Customer Service and Communication:

Act as the main point of contact for clients regarding their shipments, providing updates and handling inquiries.
Provide excellent customer service, ensuring client needs and expectations are met or exceeded.
Resolve any shipment issues or delays and communicate effectively with all parties involved.

 Carrier and Vendor Management:

Develop and maintain relationships with airlines, ground handlers, and other vendors.
Negotiate rates and terms with carriers to ensure competitive pricing and service levels.
Monitor carrier performance to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. 

 Documentation and Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate records of all export shipments and documentation.
Ensure proper filing and storage of documents for easy retrieval and compliance audits.
Prepare and submit necessary reports on shipment status, costs, and performance metrics. 

 Cost Control and Efficiency:

Monitor and manage costs associated with air export operations to optimize profitability.
Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance operational efficiency and reduce expenses.

 Problem-Solving and Risk Management:

Identify and address potential issues or risks in the shipment process, such as delays or customs issues.
Develop contingency plans to address disruptions in the supply chain

Job description: Promptly attending and responding to enquiries from Customers.

ØRate negotiation with airlines, sub agents, destination offices and transporters.

ØUnderstanding the needs of customers and providing solutions to their problems

ØCoordinating with local shippers, destination offices and CHA for smooth handling of shipment.

ØUpdating the status of shipments and following up on deliveries

ØMaintaining Daily Status reports.

ØTake part in Cargo planning, and maintaining committed cargo volumes with Airlines.

ØPreparing Rate Contracts with the shipper

ØWork in close co-ordination with Sales teams to On-board New Customers and start new Trade lanes.

ØQuoting rates to the shipper on spot queries.

Ø Job description : Experience in airfreight Import/Export, DG Shipments.

ØOverseas Co-ordination & Nomination handling.

ØNeed to have a good connection with the airline.

ØCandidate must have good command over English and must have
experience in airfreight Import and Export.

ØCandidate must have past experience were he or she have day to day
interaction with airlines.

ØMust have knowledge to handle shipment in critical situation and
update the customer accordingly.

ØKnowledge of airline pricing will be added value it is not
mandatory.

ØCandidate must be staying close to office so travelling will not
be burden.

ØMust have basic knowledge of DG Shipment handling too

ØGood knowledge on overseas coordination and Nomination handling is
must.

1. Airline Rate Negotiation & Pricing:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with airlines to secure the best freight rates.
• Negotiate competitive air freight pricing to optimize cost efficiency for clients.
• Regularly update and compare rates from multiple carriers to ensure the best deals.

1. Market Research & Analysis:

• Monitor market trends, airline capacity, and pricing fluctuations to provide strategic insights.
• Analyze competitor pricing and recommend cost-effective solutions.
• Ensure pricing aligns with industry standards and company profitability targets.

1. Coordination & Client Support:

• Work closely with clients, freight forwarders, and internal teams to provide accurate rate quotations.
• Address client inquiries related to air freight pricing and ensure timely responses.
• Maintain updated records of airline rates, contracts, and pricing agreements.

• Experience: Prior experience in air freight pricing, airline negotiations, or freight forwarding .
• Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of airline pricing structures, capacity management, and freight regulations .
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and freight management software.
• Soft Skills: Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
