About the Role:
Justice Health Services (JHS) is part of the Division of Mental Health, Justice Health and Alcohol & Drug Services (MHJHADS). JHS provides high quality primary health care to people involved with the criminal justice system. JHS provides services across the Alexander Maconochie Centre (AMC), Bimberi Youth Justice Centre (BYJC), and ACT Law Courts.
Under the limited direction of the Operational Director, the Operations Manager will be an active member of the leadership team and will play a key role in operational functions, providing day-to-day effective support and advice on all matters relating Justice Health Services.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for the management and leadership to the JHS Administration team, will be required to build and maintain stakeholder relationships and develop a high performing team within a complex working environment to identify business improvements and achieve results.
The role will provide an increased focus on the delivery of streamlined, efficient services which are managed and benchmarked nationally. It requires a high level of strategic thinking and the ability to liaise effectively with multi-disciplinary teams.
The Operations Manager assists in providing support in, performance monitoring of business activity, executive correspondence, data reporting, and legal and organisational compliance.
