Job Overview

We are seeking a Junior Warden to join our partner educational institution in Bangalore Urban. As a Warden, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and welfare of students. This full-time position requires 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience. The position is ideally suited for individuals passionate about student wellbeing and who can efficiently manage multiple tasks in an educational setting.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelors in relevant field
• Emergency Response (Mandatory skill): Ability to act quickly and effectively in emergency situations to ensure student safety and well-being at all times.
• Facilities Management (Mandatory skill): Proven capabilities in overseeing hostel operations, ensuring cleanliness, maintenance, and security aspects are upheld.
• Interpersonal Communication (Mandatory skill): Excellent communication skills in English with students, staff, and parents to establish effective relationships and resolve issues promptly.
• Conflict Resolution: Demonstrated skills in managing and resolving disputes, fostering a peaceful and cooperative hostel environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and security of students within the residential facility, implementing effective monitoring systems.
• Manage daily operations of the hostel, including supervising cleaning, food services, and maintenance activities.
• Foster a positive living environment by encouraging open communication and addressing student concerns empathetically.
• Coordinate with management and other departments to organize events and activities that enrich student life.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, incidents, and any disciplinary actions taken.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and medical situations, providing required support and communicating with healthcare professionals when necessary.
• Arrange and conduct regular meetings with students to discuss hostel rules, address grievances, and gather feedback.
• Implement conflict resolution strategies to manage and resolve disputes among students, maintaining harmony within the hostel.

What are we looking for?

• Tutors with extensive 1:1 tutoring experience in SSAT and/or ISEE (Both preferred)

• You have at least 10 hours of availability to tutor each week

• Educational expertise, ideally for students aged 11-14. Sometimes younger.

• You’re passionate about education and enjoy teaching - ideally you’ve even got some experience tutoring students already!

• You’re detail-oriented with strong planning and organizational skills

• You’ve got fantastic verbal and written communication skills. Engaging, enthusiastic and approachable.

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree from a top 30 U.S. university or Global equivalent. Current master’s students are also encouraged to apply, with a strong preference for Ivy League alumni / top 20 universities.

This role is for hourly contractors and not HT/FT.

What are the main responsibilities for this role?

• Working closely with a variety of students based across the world - including the US, Asia, Australia, and Europe.

• Conducting formal tutoring sessions with students on a frequent, ongoing basis

• Using curriculum knowledge to deliver high-quality academic tutoring to Crimson students in a particular subject

• Preparing students for upcoming examinations and strengthening base concepts in order to improve performance

• Maintaining reasonable levels of communication with students outside of formal sessions
