Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior MuleSoft API Developer to lead the design, development, and implementation of API solutions using MuleSoft. As a senior developer, you will be responsible for architecting and implementing integration solutions across our organizations systems, ensuring efficient, scalable, and secure data flows. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, developers, business analysts, and project managers, to deliver high-quality API solutions that support our enterprise-wide goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- API Design and Development: Design, develop, and deploy MuleSoft APIs and integrations, utilizing best practices in API-led connectivity and MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
- Architecture and Strategy: Lead the architecture of complex integration solutions and contribute to the API strategy and roadmap.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to junior developers on the MuleSoft platform, ensuring code quality, performance, and reliability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, stakeholders, and other developers to gather and refine requirements, propose solutions, and ensure successful implementation.
- Troubleshooting and Optimization: Diagnose and resolve performance issues, optimize integrations, and troubleshoot MuleSoft-related issues across development, staging, and production environments.
- Security and Compliance: Implement robust security practices in APIs, such as OAuth, JWT, and secure data handling, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Documentation and Best Practices: Maintain thorough documentation of API designs, flows, and processes, and establish best practices in MuleSoft API development.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in code reviews, enforce coding standards, and recommend improvements for scalability and maintainability.
Qualifications:
Required :
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in API development, with at least 3 years of experience specifically in MuleSoft development.
- Strong experience with the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including Anypoint Studio, API Manager, Runtime Manager, and MUnit.
- Proficiency in RESTful API design and best practices, as well as SOAP-based services.
- Hands-on experience with Mule 4 and understanding of the MuleSoft API-Led Connectivity approach.
- Familiarity with API security frameworks, such as OAuth, JWT, SAML, and integration patterns.
- Strong knowledge of data transformation, using DataWeave, XML, JSON, and other data formats.
- Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices and tools, such as Jenkins, Git, and Maven.
- Solid understanding of messaging systems like JMS, MQ, and databases like SQL and NoSQL.
Preferred :
- MuleSoft Certified Developer and/or Architect certifications.
- Experience with other languages and API frameworks such as Java Spring or IBM API Connect.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and containerization like AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
- Experience with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum or Kanban.
- Experience in the financial industry is a plus.
