Reporting to the Marketing Services Manager, the **Senior Technical Documentation Specialist** , will take ownership of technical content across manuals, datasheets, and customer-facing materials. Will also collaborate across engineering, product, and compliance teams to ensure documentation is accurate, consistent, and aligned with global standards. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives on clarity, precision, and cross-functional collaboration.
This position is part of the Marketing Growth team located in Bangalore, India and will be on-site.
**In this role, a typical day will look like:**
+ Reviewing and updating technical content in user manuals, datasheets, and information sheets to ensure accuracy and consistency.
+ Collaborating with engineering, product, and compliance teams to develop customer-facing documentation for new product launches.
+ Auditing and updating customer-facing materials - such as websites, brochures, and product sheets - for technical accuracy and consistency.
+ Managing documentation workflows using content **DITA XML (SCHEMA ST4)** and CMS platforms.
**The essential requirements of the job include:**
+ 3-6 years of experience in technical writing, ideally in a B2B or industrial setting
+ Managing workflows using in DITA XML ( SCHEMA ST4) and CMS platforms.
+ Strong understanding of **technical documentation standards** (e.g., ISO, EMC, FCC) and compliance practices
+ Experience working in cross-functional and global teams.

**Job Overview**
The global Documentation Department houses and maintains literature including approx. 8000 active installation instructions, test reports, technical drawings, data sheets, kit content lists, etc. We are currently seeking a team member who will be in charge of producing foreign language documents in our content management system Schema ST4, an XML-based authoring system. The new team member will also support in migrating existing documents to Schema ST4 and producing instructions in Adobe InDesign. While the work place is at our Whitefield offices in Bangalore, the successful applicant will report to the global Manager of the Technical Documentation Department in Germany and partner with our Documentation and Manufacturing Team in Poland, the global Product Managers, Engineers and Sales Teams. The role includes working on XML files to produce translations and making sure foreign language documents are available when needed and properly maintained in line with the EN master document. Maintaining existing repositories and registers as well as keeping a term base will be part of the daily business. The team member will work with our global teams to work on foreign language documents.
**Job Requirements**
+ Working on English documents to produce translations to foreign languages
+ Editing installation instructions in Schema ST4
+ Handling text in XML formatting and adding translations
+ Building multi-language glossary and database
+ Working with our technical staff in the framework of translating documents
+ Keeping a record of translated files in our existing register
+ Assist in editing documents in Adobe InDesign
+ Supporting with mass changes
**What your background should look like**
+ Technical or commercial diploma or certificate, OR Bachelor's degree in technical or commercial subject plus >3 years of proven job experience in technical documentation environment
+ Organized, methodical and self-motivated individual with the ability to work accurately also under time pressure
+ Fluent in English speaking and writing
+ Experience with DTP software, such as Adobe InDesign, Acrobat, Adobe Illustrator and MS Office
+ Experience in Content Management Systems and XML is a must
