Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the release calendar and manage the end-to-end release process for mobile apps on iOS and Android
  • Coordinate and execute OTA releases using tools such as Code Push or custom delivery systems, ensuring that hotfixes and incremental updates reach users without requiring app store resubmissions
  • Demonstrate creativity and take initiative in solving complex problems
  • Collaborate with engineering, QA, product management, partner teams and other stakeholders to define release scope and deliverables
  • Coordinate build submissions, version control, and deployment through App Store Connect and Google Play Console
  • Monitor and manage pre-release testing (e.g., TestRail) and ensure all test cases are covered and defects resolved
  • Ensure compliance with Apple and Google policies and requirements
  • Create and maintain release documentation, release notes, and deployment guides
  • Communicate release status, issues, and risks to leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Facilitate go/no-go meetings and post-release reviews to capture learnings and improve future cycles
  • Manage hotfixes and emergency releases when needed
  • Drive process improvements for release automation, testing, and coordination

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of relevant professional experience with a bachelor's degree OR equivalent. Including:
  • 3+ years coordinating mobile app releases using App Store Connect and Google Play Console
  • 3+ years of experience with build submission workflows and coordinating with engineering teams
  • 1+ years of experience working with OTA systems such as CodePush or Expo OTA
  • Proficiency with GitHub UI, branching workflows, and basic familiarity with version control concepts (no coding required)
  • Strong organizational, project management, and stakeholder communication skills
  • Experience owning or maintaining a release calendar, driving go/no go decisions and tracking release health
  • Familiarity with submission guidelines for iOS and Android platforms
  • Awareness of staged rollouts, crash monitoring tools (Sentry, Dynatrace) and feature flag management

Preferred:

  • Exposure to Jenkins or similar CICD tools (user level not engineering setup)

  • Coordinate build submissions, version control, and deployment through App Store Connect and Google Play Console
  • Monitor and manage pre-release testing (e.g., TestRail) and ensure all test cases are covered and defects resolved
  • Ensure compliance with Apple and Google policies and requirements
  • Create and maintain release documentation, release notes, and deployment guides
  • Communicate release status, issues, and risks to leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Facilitate go/no-go meetings and post-release reviews to capture learnings and improve future cycles
  • Manage hotfixes and emergency releases when needed
  • Drive process improvements for release automation, testing, and coordination
  • Track and report on release KPIs and success metrics

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree OR equivalent relevant professional experience. Including:
  • 5+ years managing mobile app releases or coordinating mobile deployments across iOS and Android platforms
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience using App Store Connect and Google Play Console for release coordination
  • 3+ years of exposure to Jenkins or similar CICD tools (user level not engineering setup)
  • 2+ years managing OTA deployments using tools like Microsoft Code Push or Expo OTA
  • 2+ years working with GitHub UI, release branching workflows, and basic version control concepts (no engineering background required)
  • Strong project management, cross-functional coordination, and stakeholder communication skills
  • Deep understanding of submission guidelines for iOS and Android platforms
  • Proven ability to drive go/no-go meetings, manage hotfix releases, and track release health metrics


Preferred:

  • Familiarity with feature flag tools and managing staged rollouts across mobile populations
  • Understanding of mobile analytics, crash monitoring, and performance observability tools (Sentry, Dynatrace)
  • Experience creating release documentation, playbooks, and managing test case coverage via tools like TestRail
  • Comfortable working in Jira, Confluence, and other agile planning and reporting platforms

Overview:
The Cross Border Services Product Management organization leads the company in innovating cross border payment products and services using new technologies, channels and customer segments.
Cross Border Services is a team within Product and Engineering that focuses on cross border payment flows to consumers, including Cross Border Person-to-Person (P2P) payments, business and government Disbursements, and Remittances.
Within the Cross Border Product Management organization , the Vice President, Product Ownership
- Is responsible for developing and inspiring platform/product visions, derived from business needs, market opportunities, and technology trends
- Translates business requirements into functional and non-functional requirements through epics and stories that drive the product development
- Works with product owners, technical program managers, developers and the product managers and other internal customers to define the details behind the business requirements
- Is accountable and supports the development team for all aspects related to the customer experience and the value proposition
- Collaborates with the product managers to define the product differentiators
Responsibilities:
- Lead a global team and define the methodology and processes to optimize the skills of and the quality of the execution by the team you manage
- Act as a India product management team lead
- Own the long-term vision (3-5 years) of the platform you are responsible for and provide thought leadership related to product ownership to the overall organization
- Lead the platform product strategy and work with other platform product teams to ensure strategies are aligned
- Manage the product roadmap in collaboration with the product management, product strategy and the engineering teams taking into account available development capacity and business priorities
- Manage the product backlog and continuously update the requirements priority list for the engineering teams
- Clearly identify the scope of feature with team members, architecture and development
- Review the epics (NFSs) and stories produced by your team using your own technical depth and business acumen to detects gaps, assess risks and continuously improve the quality of your team's output and foster their development
- Define the test strategy and define the acceptance criteria for each story
- Ensure customer test cases are available and functional testing capability is available
- Work with cross-functional teams to manage product/feature release, implementation and commercialization
- Define and build your own scorecard to continuously monitor and analyze key performance indicators and use this data to drive incremental improvements across the product lifecycle
- Build and cultivate strong relationships with product management, engineering and other internal customer to establish engagement models for your team and ensure delivery is in alignment with expectations
- Ensure communication and understanding of the roadmap priorities, delivery schedule and performance expectations and manage related escalations
- Plan and advocate for department resources
Experiences and skills:
- 20+ years of experience working in a software development environment
- Experience defining and deploying common functionality and shared services across different platforms
- Requirement analysis and definition, documentation, roadmap management and acceptance criteria definition for cross-border payment services

RESPONSIBILITIES:
