The key focus area:
+ Establishing Maintenance practices system (Capex, Opex, Preventive maintenance system etc.)

10. Monitoring site safety (action capture system) and monitory progress of Best practices and safety projects.
11. Plan for Capex (New and Existing plants), project Co-ordination & monitoring

Regional council seek an Asset Manager for 2-3 months.  Your role will be primarily to prioritise, scope and tender out small (ish) scale capital works projects in line with council’s overall asset management plan and risk matrix.

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of asset management principles and have experience of appointing contractors to small scale CAPEX projects.  The candidate will be required to have good communication skills as they will be dealing with a mix of council operated and council leased buildings and assets.

Located close to 3 hours out of Melbourne, Council appreciates that as a regional council they will need to make allowances for their location and are happy to look at a hybrid role (2 days office based, probably including overnight accommodation).  An attractive hourly rate will be negotiated with the successful applicant.

    Role Overview:

    The Stressed Assets Manager will manage a portfolio of non-performing and stressed accounts and be responsible for strategizing, initiating, and executing recovery actions, including legal and out-of-court settlements. The role demands in-depth knowledge of recovery frameworks like IBC/NCLT, SARFAESI, and DRT.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Account Management & Resolution Strategy:

    • Handle resolution of stressed accounts through:
    • Discussion & closure with the borrower
    • IBC (Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code) and NCLT processes
    • One-Time Settlements (OTS) and direct negotiations
    • Enforcement actions under SARFAESI and DRT proceedings

    Stakeholder Management:

    • Liaise with internal stakeholders (credit, legal, risk, finance) for a coordinated recovery approach.
    • Maintain strong relationships with external legal firms, insolvency professionals, resolution agents, etc.

    MIS & Governance:

    • Maintain updated trackers and dashboards for all stressed cases and their progress.

    Key Competencies:

    Role Overview:

    The Stressed Assets Manager will manage a portfolio of non-performing and stressed accounts and be responsible for strategizing, initiating, and executing recovery actions, including legal and out-of-court settlements. The role demands in-depth knowledge of recovery frameworks like IBC/NCLT, SARFAESI, and DRT.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Account Management & Resolution Strategy:

    • Handle resolution of stressed accounts through:
    • Discussion & closure with the borrower
    • IBC (Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code) and NCLT processes
    • One-Time Settlements (OTS) and direct negotiations
    • Enforcement actions under SARFAESI and DRT proceedings
    • Assess financial viability of borrowers and structure recovery plans accordingly.

    Legal Proceedings & Documentation:

    • Collaborate with legal counsel to initiate and monitor recovery proceedings.
    • Draft and review legal notices, settlement documents, and affidavits for recovery cases.
    • Represent the organization in NCLT/DRT hearings and manage coordination with external lawyers.

    Stakeholder Management:

    • Liaise with internal stakeholders (credit, legal, risk, finance) for a coordinated recovery approach.

    MIS & Governance:

    Logistics Asset Manager Responsibilities

    • Lead the ideation, technical development, implementation and or integration of innovative processes to support our growing product mix.
    • Own the end to end asset management process and systems for supported business streams
    • Support Regional/Country specific IT Logistics services as a service owner, including but not limited to operational oversight, governance, H&S adherence, service improvement, efficiency gains, risk management and mitigation, issue resolution, and overall service guidance for processes within your remit.

    • Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products and services

    • Experience managing regionally and/or globally dispersed assets
    • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
    • Experience of effectively communicating new concepts and ideas to a diverse range of partners and stakeholders
    • Experience of solving complex problems and embracing ambiguity to drive innovative and impactful solutions
    • Demonstrated experience in operational delivery and oversight
