We’re seeking a future team member for the role, Tax Reporting & Compliance Representative I to join our BNY team. This role is located in Pune
- MH / Chennai-TN, HYBRID/REMOTE.
**In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways**:
Provides operational support for the preparation and maintenance of tax records, returns, and reports for internal and/or external clients.
Supports the coordination of tax-related regulatory filings. Gathers required data elements, as needed, for various regulatory filings.
Provides status updates on progress of data collection.
Implements system and operational modifications to comply with more straightforward regulatory changes.
Updates tax forms and information return layouts. Performs first-level quality assurance of tax deliverables for more complex clients in accordance with department policies.
Tracks data needed for tax calculations. Reviews work of junior team members, resolves data discrepancies and escalates issues to more senior team members.
No direct reports. Responsible for the quality and completion of own work. High school/secondary school or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
**To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following**:
Bachelor’s degree in a business discipline preferred.
2-3 years of total work experience preferred.

Sales and Use Tax Analyst role within the Indirect Tax Center of Excellence, Pune will focus on critical areas such as:
- US Sales and Use Tax compliance Activities
- Tax Research

**Qualifications:**
Post Graduation in Accounting/ MBA from recognized University
3+ years of experience in the area of US Sales and Use Tax.
**Skills:**
Working knowledge on Oracle, SAP and other ERP systems preferred.
Working knowledge of Vertex Returns or similar compliance software.
Good accounting concepts
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Self-starter. Ability to manage multiple priorities and responsibilities yet still meet time-sensitive deadlines.
Attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
Budgeting & Analysis:
1. Review & analyse monthly & quarterly MIS for assigned entity.
2. Execute the financial reporting process and ensuring compliance with IndAS and company policies.
3.Provide financial analysis and support to the senior management team.
4.Analytical review with ratios and trends.
5.Prepare the budget and forecast numbers as per the projection and ensure approved budgets are adhered to.
6.Preparing variance analysis of financial performance of both P&L and balance sheet.
7.Preparing financial statements for a listed company with notes to accounts, disclosures etc.
8. Review of Ageing analysis and ensuring timely recovery and settlements.
Audit and Financial Controls:
