About the role:
The Coordinator, Internal Audit plays a central role in supporting the effective delivery of the University's internal audit function. This position is responsible for coordinating the planning, scheduling, and execution of internal audit activities in close collaboration with university stakeholders and the appointed internal or external audit service providers. The role ensures the Internal Audit Plan remains aligned with the University’s strategic priorities, risk profile, and regulatory obligations.

As a Coordinator, Internal Audit you will:

  • Coordinate the planning, scheduling, and delivery of internal audit activities in collaboration with internal stakeholders and the University’s appointed audit provider, including organising meetings, acting as the central point for distributing papers and ensuring all necessary documentation is prepared and accessible.
  • In collaboration with the University’s Risk and Assurance functions, coordinate the development and updating of the University’s Internal Audit Plan as requested by the Senior Executive Officer or senior management.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between different areas of the university and the audit service provider, ensuring effective communication, cooperation, and the timely provision of information and documentation for audit engagements.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, briefings and papers for the Audit and Risk Committee and other governance forums.
  • Participate in meetings and track audit recommendations and management actions, supporting business areas with implementation and ensuring timely resolution of audit issues.

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • An appropriate undergraduate qualification or equivalent combination of work experience and training.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and tasks, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines with limited supervision in a large, complex organisation governed by policies and procedures.
  • High-level verbal and written communication skills, including the preparation of professional reports, briefings, and correspondence for senior stakeholders.
  • Experience with audit or risk tracking systems, document management systems (e.g., TRIM/Content Manager), and advanced use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and proactive identification of opportunities for process or control enhancement

**Position Overview**

The Audit & Compliance Coordinator role exists to ensure accurate data exists in Newland Chase’s immigration systems that will contribute to the business’s operational excellence. The incumbent will develop and maintain in-depth expertise of Newland Chase’s operations and support systems, in particular Immigo, and will provide a high quality support and data compliance service to internal clients.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Perform data audits on Immigo to identify potential and emerging risks
- Perform operational and compliance audit activities
- Perform monthly GDPR compliance auditing
- Work closely with operations teams to rectify data issues
- Develop reports based on audit results and provides feedback to management as appropriate to address opportunities for improvement
- Provide clear explanations for the results of analytics as required

**DRIVE PROCESS IMPROVEMENT**:

- Identifies opportunities for improving processes.
- Adheres to organizational expectations; creates objectives that align with SLA’s and KPI’s

**Education and Qualifications (E = Essential | D = Desirable)**
- Graduate level degree or equivalent (E)

- Proficiency/fluency of English language, spoken and written.

- Immigration case management/immigration support experience (1-2 years) (D)
