Your role
We are seeking a skilled AMM Author with hands-on experience in Airbus programs to join our technical publications team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, revising, and maintaining Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMMs) in compliance with Airbus standards and aviation regulatory requirements.
Your profile
- Author and revise AMM tasks for Airbus aircraft programs including SA, LR, MB, and XWB (e.g., A320, A330, A350, A380).
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documents to develop accurate maintenance procedures.
- Ensure compliance with ATA iSpec2200, S1000D, and ASD-STE100 standards.
- Use Airbus-specific tools such as GIPSY, GIDOCA, SAP, ZAMIZ, DACAS, and PDMLink .
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and quality teams to ensure technical accuracy.
- Conduct peer reviews and provide guidance to junior authors and illustrators.
- Maintain documentation quality and ensure timely delivery of assigned tasks.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in AMM authoring for Airbus aircraft.
- Strong knowledge of ATA chapters related to airframe and systems.
- Familiarity with Airbus documentation standards and tools.
- Excellent written communication and technical writing skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with S1000D-based authoring.
- Exposure to Agile or Lean documentation processes.
- Certification in Technical Writing or Aviation Maintenance (optional but advantageous).
