Role Overview
The Food Technologist on the Enterprise Continuous Improvement team fills a critical role in the successful development and execution of the APAC-EMEA Region’s multi-year continuous improvement plan. Utilizing engineering and food science principles will identify, develop, validate, and implement product and process optimization projects including but not limited to recipe changes, ingredient and supplier changes, process improvements, supply continuity initiatives, and new technology applications. Successful candidate will lead and support projects with a target of delivering up to $1M - $2M + US annual savings, as well as engaging in quality, safety, and capacity initiatives as assigned.
This role serves as a technical expert by developing and maintaining up to date knowledge of products, processes, technologies, and manufacturing operations. This role requires technical understanding of the specifications, functionality, and interactions between commodities, ingredients, and manufacturing processes. Additionally, having proficiency with project and change management and other business systems will enable efficient CI project execution. As a member of the team, the Engineer/Food Technologist will lead cross functional teams on undertaking projects of strategic importance from concept through implementation with responsibility for development, validation, and industrialization for sustainability. Application of Lean/Six Sigma principles are a requirement for manufacturing optimization initiatives. This work is performed in a laboratory and manufacturing environment utilizing equipment and scientific and analytical instrumentation.

JOB SUMMARY
We’re seeking a Project Manager who is structured, proactive, and solution-oriented to lead strategic and operational projects within our Indian production unit. You will be responsible for coordinating projects from planning to execution, ensuring on-time delivery, high quality, and clear communication with our U.S.-based team.
This role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, a strong sense of ownership, agility, and sharp analytical skills. Experience in the nutraceutical, dietary supplement, or food manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and oversee all production-related projects, including operations, quality, compliance, logistics, maintenance, and process improvements.
- Coordinate and maintain relationships with external vendors, contract manufacturers, and service providers to ensure timely delivery, quality compliance, and alignment with project objectives.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the Indian and U.S. teams, ensuring alignment on priorities, effective communication, and timely updates.
- Develop and maintain detailed daily, weekly, and monthly project schedules; manage resources, identify dependencies, and monitor timelines.
- Manage project budgets, track costs, and ensure resource optimization without compromising quality or compliance.
- Identify and evaluate project risks, propose mitigation strategies, and resolve challenges proactively and constructively.
- Create, revise, and improve SOPs and workflows to boost efficiency and reduce waste.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) including progress, costs, productivity, and quality metrics.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with GMP, FDA, HACCP, and FSSC 22000 standards, in collaboration with QA/QC teams.
- Use project management tools (e.g., ClickUp , Asana ) to organize tasks, assign responsibilities, and monitor overall project flow.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality, supply chain, maintenance, and leadership teams to align goals and ensure seamless execution.
- Continuously evaluate and improve existing processes; recommend innovations or technology upgrades when beneficial.
QUALIFICATIONS & Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Food Technology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or a related field.
- Salary Range : 6 to 9 LPA
- 8–10 years of experience in project management within an industrial setting, ideally in nutraceuticals, supplements, or food manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of GMP, HACCP, FDA, and FSSC 22000 regulations.
- Proven ability to analyze data, manage project budgets, and optimize resource usage.
- Professional-level English communication and reporting skills (written and spoken).
- Proficiency with project management platforms like ClickUp, Asana, or similar.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to work autonomously.
