Role

As one of our Oral Health Therapist or Hygienists, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining the oral health well-being of our community. You will be responsible for providing top-notch hygiene services and education around their oral health, as well as promoting preventative care.

• 2-day-a-week role: Monday & Friday available
• Busy role with a supportive team!
• Competitive compensation based on experience - either commission-based or hourly rate can be discussed

You'll fit easily into our practice if you have:

• At least 2+ years experience
• Outstanding communication skills for patient education and rapport-building
• A natural team spirit and a genuine interest in contributing to the warmth of the team
• Exceptional attention to detail in all aspects of clinical practice

To be successful in the role you will need to hold registration with the New Zealand Dental Council (NZDA) as well as a current Annual Practicing Certificate.

• Conduct thorough oral health examinations and diagnoses for pediatric patients.
• Develop and implement individualized dental treatment plans.
• Perform a wide range of dental procedures, including preventive treatments (sealants, fluoride applications), restorative care (fillings, crowns), and extractions.
• Administer conscious sedation and general anesthesia safely and effectively when required, in accordance with established protocols.
• Educate patients and parents on proper oral hygiene practices, nutrition, and preventive dental care.
• Manage dental emergencies and trauma effectively.
• Collaborate with other dental specialists and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with professional standards and regulations.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in pediatric dentistry through continuing education and professional development.

• Supervise and guide dental hygienists, assistants, and other support staff.

• Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an accredited postdoctoral program in Pediatric Dentistry.
• Board certification or eligibility for board certification in Pediatric Dentistry.
• Valid dental license to practice in the state of Maharashtra.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in pediatric dentistry post-residency.
• Proficiency in all aspects of pediatric dental care, including behavior management techniques.
• Experience with conscious sedation and general anesthesia administration.
• Excellent diagnostic and clinical skills.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and patient management skills.
• A genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to their oral health.
• Ability to build trust and rapport with patients and parents.
• Strong understanding of child development and psychology.
• Proficiency in using modern dental equipment and electronic health records.
• BLS and PALS certifications are required.

• Provide comprehensive dental care for infants, children, adolescents, and individuals with special health care needs, including examinations, diagnostics, preventive treatments, and restorative procedures.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs of each child.
• Perform complex dental procedures, including pulpotomies, extractions, and management of traumatic dental injuries.
• Lead and mentor a team of pediatric dentists, dental hygienists, and dental assistants, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to best practices.
• Develop and oversee clinical protocols, safety procedures, and quality assurance measures for the practice.
• Utilize advanced telehealth platforms to conduct virtual consultations, patient education, and remote monitoring.
• Contribute to the development of educational materials and resources for patients and their families.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in pediatric dentistry, including new techniques, technologies, and materials.
• Collaborate with specialists and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Manage patient records accurately and confidentially using electronic health record systems.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
• Potentially lead research initiatives or contribute to clinical studies in pediatric dentistry.

• Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an accredited Pediatric Dentistry residency program.
• Board certification in Pediatric Dentistry is highly preferred.
• A minimum of 7 years of clinical experience in pediatric dentistry, with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
• Proficiency in all aspects of pediatric dental care, including behavior management techniques.
• Experience with digital dentistry tools (e.g., intraoral scanners, CAD/CAM).
• Strong understanding of telehealth technologies and their application in dentistry.
• Excellent diagnostic, clinical, and surgical skills.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and empathy skills, with the ability to connect with children and their parents.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively in a fully remote setting.
• Commitment to providing patient-centered care and promoting oral health education.
• Valid dental license and relevant certifications.
