Job Description
The Construction Engineer is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the project works contractors and maintaining the project performance goals. He coordinates work efforts and ensures activities are sequenced in accordance with the project schedule. A construction engineer must be a competent person in the construction business so that he accurately evaluates the methods and performance in all respects of the particular scope elements of the project for which he is accountable.
Experience
Minimum 5 10 years of onsite experience on major projects under any sector Infrastructure, Real Estate, Power, Steel or Chemical Involvement in at least 2 significant major project similar in size and scope as delivered by TCE
Qualification
Postgraduate or graduate in an engineering discipline Post graduate degree/diploma in construction management (preferable)
- Monitors overall job site health, safety and environment performance and verifies that contractors are protecting their workers at the job site.
- Responsible for construction supervision and contract administration including supervision of contractors and their subcontractors for assigned portions of the project.
- Assists in the coordination of the design deliverables to support continuous and efficient construction.
- Job site point of contact for all contractors in his assigned area of the project.
- Plans and chairs project safety meetings, assists with incident investigations and reporting, and participates in TCE safety programs and initiatives.
- Communicates the identification, management and resolution of deficiencies and non-conformance to the Construction Manager.
- Assists with construction estimating, scheduling, reporting, cost control, measurement verification and invoice certification for all work being performed by the contractor in his assigned area of the project.
- To lead complete Bill Certification process, Measurement of Quantities, resolution of extra scope for assigned construction area or structure or domain or discipline. Enforce Change Management and Request for Information (RFI) management process
- During absence of the Construction Manager, act as administrative spokesperson.
- Assist with the development and review of construction related information for the purpose of proposals and other related business improvement activities.
- Participate in and provide construction input for project constructability plans.
- To provide inputs for daily, weekly and monthly progress reports, track contractor s asking rates for major construction activities, to workout catch up plans suit to site conditions
- Assist the Construction Manager to address site issues and developorimplement a remedy.
- Assist in coordinating between constructions and commissioning and establishing an effective handover policy.
- Ensures that Project safety plan and project quality plan is strictly implemented
- Provides inputs for planning and billing activities

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Property Inspection (PI) Team Member to join our team. This role involves obtaining site specifications for targeted customers and projects, ensuring accurate and comprehensive data collection to support our sales and project teams.
Job Summary: The PI Team Member will be responsible for gathering detailed specifications from various sites for land, snow, lot, and pressure washing services offered by DMG. The collected data will include parking lot sqft, sidewalk sqft (both public and private), mulch bed areas, pine and rock sqft, number of shrubs and trees, sqft of shrubs, palm trees where applicable, and more. The goal is to capture all relevant information to allow DMG's field members to verify and our Deal Desk team to help the sales department price out competitive packages, enabling DMG to grow.
Responsibilities:
- Site Specification:
- Obtain site specifications for targeted customers and projects assigned to you and your team.
- Gather detailed data points including parking lot sqft, sidewalk sqft (both public and private), mulch bed areas, pine and rock sqft, number of shrubs and trees, sqft of shrubs, palm trees where applicable, and other relevant specifications.
- Data Collection:
- Collect and document property-specific data accurately and comprehensively.
- Ensure the completeness and accuracy of all collected data.
- Communication:
- Maintain clear and effective communication with the sales and project teams to ensure all information is accurately conveyed.
- Provide regular updates on the status of property assessments and specifications.
- Training and Development:
- Participate in a two-week training program that includes shadowing, showcases, and practice sites to ensure success.
- Gradually get up to speed on all performance indicators over a four-week window post the initial two-week training program.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Maintain an overall site count efficiency rate of 85% or higher, adhering to stretch, threshold, or target metrics. This KPI tracks daily capacity and execution, identifying areas for additional training and support when necessary.
- Data Accuracy:
- Ensure the accuracy of captured property specifications, with a target accuracy rate of 85% or higher for key metrics (lot, sidewalk, turf, mulch beds, rock, shrub count, tree count). Utilize pricing models and CPQ edits post field calls to verify changes and consider spec edits made to optimize pricing versus updating incorrect specifications.
- Specification Feasibility:
- Maintain a rate of 10% or lower for sites marked as unable to spec. Training will be provided on utilizing site photos and Google tools to confirm the feasibility of specifying a location.
- Project Completion Timeliness:
- Ensure that 90% of assigned projects are completed by the specified due date. Holidays and overall team capacity will be taken into consideration when establishing due dates.
- Experience:
- Proven experience in property assessment, surveying, or a related field is a plus but not a requirement.
- Familiarity with remote assessment tools and techniques.
- Working knowledge of Google and other search engines.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Strong communication and data entry skills.
- Other Requirements:
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Familiarity with US property standards and regulations is a plus.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
