AECOM is seeking a Principal Engineer- Electrical(Building Engineering) based in Bengaluru/Gurgaon, India. Candidates will be responsible for the following activities:
+ Experience in retail and hospitality medium to large projects.
+ Experience in UK, UAE, US, Canada, ANZ (preferred).
+ Designs and develops plumbing systems for various building types, ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations.
+ Conducts site visits to assess existing conditions and gather necessary information for project planning.
+ Stays current with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in plumbing, heating, and engineering.
+ Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
+ Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.
+ Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position.
+ Develops and implements innovative electrical design solutions for complex projects.
+ Leads cross-functional teams in the execution of large-scale electrical engineering projects.
+ Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
+ Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
**Qualifications**
The successful candidate will have the following Qualifications:
+ Master of Engineering degree (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
+ Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in electrical design for commercial or industrial projects
+ Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
+ Proficient in at least one of the load calculation software such as AMTECH and ETAP
+ Skilled in using one or more lighting calculation software (e.g., AGi32, DIALux)
+ Proficient in use of Revit and AutoCAD. Working knowledge of Navisworks is required
+ Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and 3D modeling software

The Senior Associate, Building Engineer - ICT role will assist in planning and executing new and customization of IT projects. We are looking for a hard-working & detail-oriented individual who will assist monitoring milestone implementation right from sourcing a potential building all the way to construction completion and closeout activities. You will be working closely with internal and external teams to ensure that each project is delivered as per best practices and that they have the highest adherence to the process set forth.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Confirm IT/AV & Security requirements for projects and ensure all design is to latest product/technical standards and identify site/project-specific requirements
  • Budget projects to latest Building Technology standards
  • Ensure WiFi design is incorporated into design drawings
  • Identify primary/secondary ISP routes & engage vendors & review layout for cabling distances
  • Determine if cellular remediation is required, and incorporate system requirements into design drawings
  • High-level Design as required for Data cabling, IT-Active, AV, Voice infra, Security- ACS & CCTV, ISP & Cellular services as required for projects
  • Review vendor quotes for BOM/Service accuracy and price comparison/value for money
  • Page-turn with vendors and GC onsite/remote along with design pack validation
  • Room Readiness checklist completion. IT Closets ready for rack installs, second fix works for all disciplines in comms rooms
  • Responsible for building logistics (materials etc) & the POC for IT/AV/SEC/Cabling & System Commissioning
  • Ensure vendor site access as needed including H&S reviews/approval
  • Technology-related construction management & escalation including Room Readiness failures
  • Create, maintain & communicate project plans & RAID logs as well as Snag Lists & Vendor Quality/Standards Adherence
  • Attend project programming/design meetings along with providing weekly project Status Reports and input into the monthly business review
  • Works closely with the Client Solutions team to validate design concepts for suitability
  • Ensures smooth handover of documentation HOTO runbooks to IT-OPS team and Sec OPS
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting floor plans and technical drawings and specifications
  • Design and construction of IT Closets, MDF/IDF as per the Standards

Education level and Desired qualifications:

  • Academic Degree
  • Basic knowledge of IT implementation( Network Active, Passive, AV, CCTV and Access Control)
  • Minimum 2 to 5 years experience in onsite project implementation
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Advanced computer skills on MS Office, project tracking software's
  • Good Knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD
  • Proven knowledge on IT - Network architecture
  • Sound independent judgement
  • Ability to work cross functionally and interact with many stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with exceptional verbal and written communication.
  • Track record of overachieving targets.
  • Good understanding of cutting edge technology
  • Basic Network Design and build(CCNA/CCNP)
  • Knowledge on Audio Visual equipment's and design concepts
  • Knowledge on Access control system and CCTV design
