This role involves obtaining site specifications for targeted customers and projects, ensuring accurate and comprehensive data collection to support our sales and project teams.

Job Summary: The PI Team Member will be responsible for gathering detailed specifications from various sites for land, snow, lot, and pressure washing services offered by DMG. The collected data will include parking lot sqft, sidewalk sqft (both public and private), mulch bed areas, pine and rock sqft, number of shrubs and trees, sqft of shrubs, palm trees where applicable, and more. The goal is to capture all relevant information to allow DMG's field members to verify and our Deal Desk team to help the sales department price out competitive packages, enabling DMG to grow.

Responsibilities:

  • Site Specification:
  • Obtain site specifications for targeted customers and projects assigned to you and your team.
  • Gather detailed data points including parking lot sqft, sidewalk sqft (both public and private), mulch bed areas, pine and rock sqft, number of shrubs and trees, sqft of shrubs, palm trees where applicable, and other relevant specifications.
  • Data Collection:
  • Collect and document property-specific data accurately and comprehensively.
  • Ensure the completeness and accuracy of all collected data.
  • Communication:
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with the sales and project teams to ensure all information is accurately conveyed.
  • Provide regular updates on the status of property assessments and specifications.
  • Training and Development:
  • Participate in a two-week training program that includes shadowing, showcases, and practice sites to ensure success.
  • Gradually get up to speed on all performance indicators over a four-week window post the initial two-week training program.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Operational Efficiency:
  • Maintain an overall site count efficiency rate of 85% or higher, adhering to stretch, threshold, or target metrics. This KPI tracks daily capacity and execution, identifying areas for additional training and support when necessary.
  • Data Accuracy:
  • Ensure the accuracy of captured property specifications, with a target accuracy rate of 85% or higher for key metrics (lot, sidewalk, turf, mulch beds, rock, shrub count, tree count). Utilize pricing models and CPQ edits post field calls to verify changes and consider spec edits made to optimize pricing versus updating incorrect specifications.
  • Specification Feasibility:
  • Maintain a rate of 10% or lower for sites marked as unable to spec. Training will be provided on utilizing site photos and Google tools to confirm the feasibility of specifying a location.
  • Project Completion Timeliness:
  • Ensure that 90% of assigned projects are completed by the specified due date. Holidays and overall team capacity will be taken into consideration when establishing due dates.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
  • Proven experience in property assessment, surveying, or a related field is a plus but not a requirement.
  • Familiarity with remote assessment tools and techniques.
  • Working knowledge of Google and other search engines.
  • Skills:

    Responsible for managing a team of approximately 13 staff, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the Building Services Unit including:

    • People Management: Running an engaged and aligned, high performing building team.  Responsible for hiring and day to day management as well as the identification of training and development opportunities for the team.

    The successful incumbent will be registered with the VBA as an Unlimited Building Surveyor without restrictions and have extensive knowledge of building and related legislation / acts.
