Job Profile: US Business Tax Manager (Remote)
Job Summary: USA Tax Gurus LLC, is a remote US Tax and Accounting firm, seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Enrolled Agent (EA) to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess excellent social skills to communicate with US clients, have in-depth business tax knowledge, be a licensed CPA/EA, and have a proven track record of handling complex tax matters. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and signing tax returns, providing tax planning advice, reviewing financials, bookkeeping, developing processes and SOPs, and training junior employees.
Key Responsibilities:
Tax Compliance:
- Prepare and sign tax returns for partnerships, corporations, and other entities, including forms 1120, 1120S, 1065, 5471, 5472, and others.
- Stay updated on the latest tax laws, regulations, and filing requirements.
- Conduct comprehensive tax research and analysis.
Tax Planning and Advisory:
- Provide tax planning advice to clients, identifying opportunities for tax optimization and cost-saving strategies.
- Offer guidance on tax-efficient business structures, deductions, and credits.
Bookkeeping and Financial Reporting:
- Assist clients with bookkeeping tasks, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Generate financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements using QuickBooks Online and Wave.
- Perform periodic financial analysis and provide insights to clients.
Project Delivery and US Clients Communication:
- Shadow and work closely with the firm owner (Akhil Bansal CPA) and communicate with new clients
- Be able to deliver tax returns and other projects to US clients and handle all their inquiries independently.
- Should be available during US morning hours (India evening hours – max till 12 am IST) for some client calls
- Participate in client onboarding processes, including gathering necessary information, verifying documents, and setting up client profiles.
- Establish strong relationships with clients, addressing their concerns, and providing exceptional customer service.
Process Development and SOPs:
- Develop and implement efficient processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for firm operations, ensuring consistency and quality in service delivery.
- Streamline workflow and identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Mentoring and Training:
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior employees, assisting in their professional development.
- Conduct training sessions on tax regulations, software tools, and best practices.
- Review the work of junior team members and provide constructive feedback.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or Enrolled Agent (EA).
- Demonstrated experience in preparing and signing various tax forms, including 1120, 1120-S, 1065, 5471, 5472, 1042-S, 8832, FBAR, 1116, 8621, 8938.
- Strong knowledge of business tax regulations, laws, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in tax planning and advisory services.
- Experience with bookkeeping tasks and financial reporting.
- Ability to onboard and build strong relationships with clients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to develop and implement processes and SOPs.
- Ability to effectively teach and mentor junior employees.

The Tax Accountant will maintain tax records and prepare tax returns, related schedules, and related reports. The incumbent will also be responsible for ensuring the corporation's compliance with all international federal, state, and local tax laws.
**Principal Accountabilities**
+ Prepare and analyze tax records and reports.
+ Prepare local, state, and federal tax returns.
+ Responsible for monthly updates of tax schedules and various reports.
+ Generate monthly journal entries.
+ Complete monthly account reconciliations.
+ Responsible for monthly transactional tax returns under the direction of the supervisor or senior staff. Examples include VAT, vendor withholdings, and other excise tax returns.
+ Review actual invoices as needed to determine applicable taxes.
+ Complete domestic, international, and specialty tax research as assigned.
+ Assist with monitoring and facilitating the renewal of the Company's domestic and international business licenses / registrations.
+ Assist with general departmental administrative matters.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
**Knowledge & Skills**
+ Demonstrate proficiency in Word and Excel.
+ Knowledge of SharePoint and other Microsoft applications is a plus.
+ Demonstrate proficiency in on-line tax research applications such as CCH, BNA, and/or IBFD.
+ Knowledge of Income Tax Law, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
+ Knowledge of VAT, payroll taxes, or international tax laws is a plus.
+ Knowledge of HFM, Hyperion, Costpoint, OneSource, PinPoint, Blackline, PeopleSoft, On-Base, and Documentum is a plus
+ Excellent decision making, problem solving and communication skills.
+ Results oriented individual with exceptional organizational skills and ablilty to work independently.
**Experience & Education**
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Tax. CA IPCC pass out would be a plus.
+ Two (2) to four (4) years experience in tax or accounting.
**Physical Requirements/Working Environment**
+ Works in a normal office environment with controlled temperature and lighting conditions.
+ Travel may be required on need basis.
