As we scale our engineering team, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior CAD Designer  who can transform engineering concepts into clean, manufacturable, and optimized design solutions.

As a Senior CAD Designer , you will play a critical role in developing detailed and accurate 2D/3D CAD models and drawings for sheet metal components. You will be responsible for ensuring manufacturability, structural integrity, and compliance with standards, while organizing technical data systematically and collaborating closely with project teams.

• Interpret project briefs and customer drawings to develop manufacturable designs.
• Create accurate 2D and 3D CAD models using SolidWorks  for:
• Base frames
• Acoustic canopies
• Electrical cabinets
• Portable light towers
• Ensure feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and design intent alignment.

• Apply strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication techniques including:
• Material types and gauges
• Bend allowances and K-factors
• Weld joint planning and laser-friendly nesting
• Incorporate features that simplify assembly and improve quality.

• Define detailed dimensions , GD&T , and fit tolerances .
• Use industry-standard welding symbols  for MIG, TIG, fillet, groove, and corner welds.
• Ensure proper weld sequences and access considerations for ease of fabrication.

• Coordinate with engineering, fabrication, and project management teams.
• Address feedback from fabrication and QA for continuous improvement.
• Contribute to design optimization and cost-saving solutions .

• Design sheet metal enclosures for electrical components with:
• Proper ventilation
• Cable routing provisions
• Safety clearances and access points
• Understand mechanical-electrical integration challenges.

• Conduct self-checks on all drawings to minimize rework.
• Participate in internal design reviews , DFM reviews , and compliance checks.
• Ensure all designs follow customer and ISO/industry standards.

• Maintain a clean and organized repository of all design files, BOMs, and change logs.
• Document design revisions clearly and follow version control protocols.
• Generate assembly instructions and exploded views for shop floor clarity.

• Stay updated on the latest SolidWorks features, add-ins, and industry tools.
• Suggest improvements in standard design practices and CAD automation.
• Attend webinars, technical expos, and training workshops as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree  in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 10+ years  of hands-on experience as a CAD Designer in a sheet metal manufacturing environment
• Expertise in SolidWorks  is mandatory (Part, Assembly, Drawing, Sheet Metal modules)
• Strong understanding of:
• Fabrication and welding techniques
• Weld joints, symbols, and sequencing
• Manufacturing limitations and tolerances
• Experience designing base frames, panels, enclosures, and steel structures
• Familiarity with design principles for electrical cabinets  is a plus
• Excellent file organization, drawing hygiene, and BOM preparation skills

Job Summary

As a Design Engineer, you’ll work closely with the engineering team of our Dutch collaborator who is responsible for creating engineering solutions for mechanical equipment (such as motion-compensated gangways and cranes), sea fastening, grillages, mooring systems, etc. in ever-growing Offshore Wind market.

Key Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for developing all 3D models and 2D drawings of the designs using Solid Edge and Auto CAD.
• Prepare report figures and detailed drawings as directed.
• Perform design changes and improvements in a timely manner according to project change demands.
• Estimating, budgeting, and planning for marine operation projects
• Coordinate with the Engineers to align on deliverable timelines and schedules.
• Perform quality control checks on own work to ensure there are no errors.
• Inform and manage the engineering team about the project and planning
• Participates in scheduled project review sessions and meetings with representatives from other engineering disciplines and customers on technical and engineering issues.
• Ensure compliance with company Quality, Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental policies and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualification

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in design projects in the marine /offshore /mechanical/civil steel structural industry.
• Bachelor’s in mechanical, Civil, Offshore Engineering, Naval Architecture or comparable
• Expert level knowledge in CAD software Solid Edge and AutoCAD
• Ability to understand engineering drawings and convert 2D drawings to 3D models and vice versa with ease.
• Highly organized self-starter able to prioritize work to meet changing timelines.
• Ability to have document control in place.
• Should have good experience in performing hand calculation & results in interpretation
• Collaborate efficiently with the team members
• Open to travel offshore
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).

CAD Engineer

We are looking for a CAD Engineer to provide support and assistance to digital simulation and verification engineers. A successful candidate in this role will maintain the standards of functional requirement(s) and carry out the following responsibilities/tasks:

• Interface with the engineers to define and document issues
• Consult with the senior teammates to provide guidance as necessary
• Assist in documentation of tools and flows with respect to HDL simulation and verification
