The major function of this position is:

To achieve operational and sales objectives by maintaining and expanding customer base, recommending strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans and ensuring high customer-service standards. Promote / sell/ secure orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship based approach within your dedicated region. Promote the Maui Jim sunglasses according to marketing guideline and procedure.

Location - Cochin

The principal responsibilities and duties of this position are:

  • Maintain and increase the sales of Maui Jim sunglasses to accounts in select geographic region.
  • Promotion of Maui Jim sunglasses in a specific geographic area. Calling on accounts to carry out the Company's marketing plans and policies.
  • Provide accounts with products knowledge and technical assistance.
  • Providing training, (RX) advice and support to the accounts to ensure that they are providing the right information, knowledge, with the right service levels to the end customers.
  • Collect and offer feedback on the market and competitors.
  • Monitoring and developing direct relation with the retail stores in your territory to ensure they are selling MJ according to the brand equity and increasing shelf space.
  • Plan Marketing activities according to the company Marketing agenda and guidelines.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers in person, and via telephone calls and e-mail.
  • Project a professional image to all classes of accounts while presenting company services and policies.
  • Maintain and establish the necessary territory records and information required by management.
  • Collect and supply information to management that can provide better service and penetration into our market.
  • Inform management of developments that may affect the territory's economy or potential growth.
  • Represent the company when requested at professional meetings or industry functions.
  • Complete sales and expense reports on timely basis.
  • Develop full partnership and understanding of each accounts’ requirements to obtain sales data to access opportunities and success.
  • Perform other work related tasks as requested or required.
  • As a guide, indicated below is the preferred education and experience for this position:

  • University degree in business field with a minimum of 2 to 3 years successful field sales experience. Experience in sunglass or optical industry is preferred.
  • In lieu of education, the following equivalent experience is preferred:

  • High school graduate with 1 to 2 years college with a minimum of 3 to 4 years field sales experience. Experience in sunglass or optical industry is preferred.

    Key Responsibilities and Activities

    Working closely with the marketing team, support on premise and industry focused activation sessions and events
  • Ensures POS is % Brand Guideline compliant and % fit for purpose, in sufficient quantities to achieve visibility objectives in all relevant channels

  • Support in the development and execution of Consumer & Shopper activations, including point of sale, in-store displays, sales toolkits and sampling activations, consistent with Perfect Store guidelines
  • Work collaboratively with the Commercial team to ensure compiance to activation calendar objectives

  • Coordinate with the distributor for stock, execution and other requirements

  • Coordination with the local agency partners to execute activations

  • Capture Ad-hoc opportunities in the market and plug in our brands concerts, parties, launches etc.)

  • Manage the POSM and deploy in the right outlets

  • Keep inventory of all POSM and procure all locally produced POSM

  • Raise “drinks” knowledge and capability within the local distributors and wholesaler network and educate employees on Campari portfolio including product attributes, history and usage
