Develop and implement quality control plans for foundry operations.
Monitor the entire casting process, from raw material inspection to final product testing.
Identify and analyze casting defects such as porosity, shrinkage, sand inclusions, and cracks.
Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to reduce rework and scrap rates
Perform NDT techniques such as ultrasonic testing (UT), radiography (X-ray), magnetic particle testing (MT), and dye penetrant testing (PT).
Conduct DT methods like hardness testing, tensile testing, and microstructure analysis.
Interpret test results and recommend process adjustments if required.
Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and test certificates.
Ensure compliance with industry standards like ISO 9001, ASTM, ASME, and IATF 16949.
Prepare and submit reports for customer audits and regulatory requirements.
Use tools like 8D, Fishbone Diagram, and 5 Whys to identify root causes of defects.
Work with production and maintenance teams to implement process improvements.
Optimize sand preparation, pouring temperatures, and cooling times to enhance casting quality.

The Senior Engineer - Die Casting will be responsible for operating and monitoring melting furnaces, high tonnage die casting machines, de-gating process and associated automation systems. This role demands strong technical expertise in robotic operations, tool lubrication systems, and defect control, along with the ability to support production targets and quality standards.
Your Responsibilities will be:
1. Production Management:
Operate and monitor melting furnaces for correct temperature, alloy composition, and pouring quality.
Run and optimize high tonnage die casting machines for consistent cycle times and quality output.
Manage de-gating operations for efficiency and minimal product damage.
2.Process & Equipment Expertise:
Operate and troubleshoot robotic systems for part handling, spraying, and de-gating.
Ensure tool lubrication systems are functioning effectively to improve die life and casting quality.
Support die changeover and set up activities to reduce downtime.
3. Quality & Defect Control:
Conduct in-process inspections to ensure adherence to product specifications.
Identify and resolve casting defects such as porosity, cold shuts, and flash.
Work with the quality team to implement corrective actions and process improvements.
4.Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
Assist maintenance teams in preventive and breakdown maintenance for machines, furnaces, and robots.
Maintain basic equipment logs and update production data in system records.
5.Continuous Improvement:
Participate in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S initiatives.
Suggest improvements in automation, tooling, and process parameters for productivity gains.
Our Requirements:
Graduate in B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Metallurgy Engineering.
7 – 10 years of experience in die casting production, with at least 3-4 years in a supervisory role.
Hands-on experience with melting furnaces, high tonnage die casting machines, de-gating, robotics, and tool lubrication systems.
Knowledge of casting defect analysis and process troubleshooting.
Technical Skills:
Strong technical understanding of die casting processes.
Ability to read engineering drawings and operate precision measuring instruments.
