Our client, a leader in industrial safety and compliance, is seeking a Lead Industrial Hygienist to champion best practices in chemical safety and environmental health. This fully remote role is crucial for developing and implementing comprehensive hygiene programs across diverse client operations. You will be responsible for identifying potential chemical hazards, assessing risks, and recommending effective control strategies to ensure a safe working environment. The ideal candidate possesses extensive knowledge of industrial hygiene principles, regulatory standards, and risk management.

- Develop, implement, and manage industrial hygiene programs focused on chemical safety and exposure assessment.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify and evaluate potential chemical, physical, and biological hazards in the workplace.
- Design and oversee sampling strategies for air contaminants, noise, radiation, and other workplace stressors.
- Analyze and interpret monitoring data to determine the extent of employee exposure and compare against regulatory limits.
- Recommend and implement engineering controls, administrative controls, and personal protective equipment (PPE) to mitigate identified risks.
- Develop and deliver training programs on industrial hygiene principles, chemical handling, and safety procedures.
- Stay current with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulatory standards and ensure client compliance.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses related to industrial hygiene issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings, recommendations, and corrective action plans.
- Collaborate with EHS managers, facility managers, and other stakeholders to foster a strong safety culture.
- Provide expert guidance and consultation on industrial hygiene matters to internal teams and external clients.
- Master's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, Public Health, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in industrial hygiene, with a strong emphasis on chemical hazard assessment and control.
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation is mandatory.
- In-depth knowledge of chemical properties, toxicology, and exposure assessment methodologies.
- Proficiency in interpreting and applying regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA PELs, ACGIH TLVs).
- Experience with industrial hygiene monitoring equipment and software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a remote setting.
- Experience in diverse industries (e.g., manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, technology) is a plus.
