Job Summary
The Engineer – Civil & Infrastructure will be responsible for overseeing civil construction and infrastructure development activities within the organization. The role involves managing construction projects from planning to execution, supervising contractors, coordinating with vendors, ensuring quality and safety standards, and supporting timely completion of projects.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Planning and execution of civil construction, renovation, and maintenance projects.
- Prepare BOQs, cost estimates, and support in project budgeting and resource allocation.
- Supervise day-to-day site activities, ensuring progress aligns with project timelines and quality standards.
- Coordinate and follow up with architects, consultants, vendors, and contractors for smooth project execution.
- Work hands-on with AutoCAD and other relevant software tools for drawings, measurements, and project documentation.
- Should have experience in MEP works (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) to support integrated project execution.
Site Supervision
- Monitor site construction activities, ensuring adherence to design, drawings, and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with approved materials, workmanship, and specifications.
- Track project schedules and report delays, bottlenecks, or risks to management.
- Verify contractor bills and work progress reports.
Vendor & Contractor Coordination
- Liaise with contractors, vendors, and suppliers for material procurement and timely delivery.
- Ensure vendors and contractors adhere to safety and quality norms.
- Conduct regular site meetings with contractors to review progress and resolve issues.
Quality & Safety Management
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and guidelines at construction sites.
- Conduct quality checks and inspections of civil works.
- Identify and resolve technical issues during construction.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare daily/weekly site progress reports and update management.
- Maintain proper documentation of drawings, contracts, and project correspondence.
- Support in final handover of completed projects with proper documentation.
Qualifications & Skills
- B.Tech / M.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- 6–9 years of experience in civil construction, infrastructure projects, or facility development.
- Knowledge of construction methods, site supervision, quality control, and project management.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project/Excel for reporting and documentation.
- Strong vendor management and coordination skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
- Experience in handling Greenfield projects is an added advantage(preferrable)
