Brief Roles and responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee medical care and clinical service quality at the unit.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (MTP, PCPNDT, AERB, Radiation Safety).
• Analyze department mix, consultant needs, and performance of retainers.
• Participate in tariff revisions, clinical compensation, and rationalization of costs.
• Monitor clinician quality, accreditation, and quality assurance services.
• Conduct and participate in various medical committees (Advisory Board, HOD, Infection Control, Ethics, etc.).
• Oversee quality improvement initiatives, patient safety, and recognition programs.
• Manage consultant recruitment, induction, credentialing, contracts, and performance appraisal.
• Address patient concerns and medico-legal issues in coordination with the treating doctor and legal team.
• Conduct mortality meetings and clinical billing code audits.
• Provide clinical input for medico-legal cases and new projects.
• Engage and motivate team through training, performance management, and recognition.
• Recommend junior clinical staff and initiate academic activities (DNB/FNB/Fellowships).
• Ensure doctor training on patient safety and service excellence.
• Prepare and optimize biomedical equipment budgets and utilization.
• Oversee medical records digitization and conduct awareness programs.
• Facilitate medical audits and JCI/NABH accreditation.
• Manage media relations, government liaison, and support hospital profitability and budget planning.

Qualification :

• MBBS with MBA/MHA

The role is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of all clinical and medical departments within the hospital. This includes compliance, credentialing, clinical quality, coordination between departments, and supporting medical professionals to deliver patient-centric, safe, and effective care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clinical Governance & Administration:
• Oversee daily operations of medical departments, consultants, and clinical services.
• Ensure availability and efficient functioning of medical manpower across departments.
• Drive implementation of hospital protocols, clinical SOPs, and guidelines.

• Quality & Compliance:
• Support NABH, JCI, or other accreditation and quality initiatives.
• Monitor clinical audits, infection control practices, and incident reporting.
• Ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory compliance related to clinical care.

• Doctor Engagement & Credentialing:
• Manage doctor onboarding, credentialing, privileging, and engagement.
• Ensure timely renewals of licenses, indemnities, and certifications.

• Medical Coordination:
• Act as a bridge between consultants, administration, and support teams.
• Participate in clinical review meetings, mortality audits, and MRCs.

• Patient Care & Support:
• Facilitate clinical grievance redressal and medico-legal support.
• Monitor patient safety indicators and drive improvement initiatives.

• Strategic & Operational Initiatives:
• Contribute to hospital planning, budgeting, and capacity optimization.
• Support medical strategy for new programs, specialties, or service lines.

1. Respond to emergency calls and provide on-site emergency medical care to patients in critical conditions.
2. Assess patients' conditions and initiate necessary interventions to stabilize their vital signs and manage life-threatening emergencies.
3. Administer medications, perform advanced medical procedures, and provide specialized treatments according to established protocols.
4. Coordinate with emergency medical technicians (EMTs), paramedics, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
