**About the position:**
**Delivers High Performance Computing (HPC) application and infrastructure solutions that support complex, compute intensive workloads, parallel filesystems, low latency networks, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML). This Lead role has an expectation of 10-15 years of relevant experience and will provide mentorship to junior members of the team.**
**Key responsibilities:**
**As a Cloud Engineer - HPC-Storage you are responsible for providing application and infrastructure solutions that support complex, compute intensive workloads, parallel filesystems, low latency networks, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML). The successful candidate will partner with scientists, engineers, and other HPC PL experts to deliver HPC solutions that fully leverage the computing resources on premises and in the cloud.**
**Design, implementation, and support of NetApp storage systems**
**Administration of Azure NetApp files and Cloud Volumes ONTAP**
**Administration of on-prem and cloud-hosted Linux systems**
**Implementation of automation of system management, maintenance, and monitoring**
**Troubleshooting, incident, and problem management**
**Performance monitoring and optimization**
**Required Qualifications:**
**Technical Knowledge and Skills - The preferred candidate will have 10-15 years of experience as well as at least 5 years of experience in Linux, Cloud, and NetApp storage system administration experience in a large-scale enterprise environment plus one or more of the following areas: Azure NetApp Files (ANF), Cloud Volumes ONTAP (CVO), parallel file systems (e.g., Lustre), Azure virtual machines, Azure networking, underlying infrastructure supporting Oil and Gas applications, and configuration management technologies (e.g., Ansible, PowerShell, Python, and Azure).**
**Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or comparable field**

**Job Summary**
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will take end-to-end ownership of cloud services. Your role will involve driving the entire lifecycle of cloud services - from design, development, deployment, and operation to continuous improvement. You will be responsible for ensuring the seamless delivery of highly available, scalable, and secure services that meet the needs of our customers
A key focus of your role will be on SaaS offerings built on a microservices, container-based architecture (Kubernetes). You will actively measure and monitor the availability, latency, performance, and overall health of these systems, using data-driven insights to enhance reliability and velocity.
You will also play a critical role in scaling systems sustainably through automation and driving improvements in system reliability, performance, and efficiency. Collaborating closely with global teams, including those from NetApp and leading cloud providers such as Google, you will oversee a portfolio of customer-centric cloud services to ensure their availability, performance, and security.
**Job Requirements**
- 8+ years of industry experience in software development.
- 3+ years of experience in data management systems & storage platforms for managing and storing data across various workloads and environments.
- 3+ years of expert-level hands-on experience in fault-tolerant, highly scalable cloud architectures, including service-oriented architectures, cloud-native (FAAS, PAAS), and cloud storage services with at least one hyperscaler (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Proficiency in Programming languages like Golang, Python or Java.
- Experience with file systems, Networking, or file/cloud protocols.
- A strong understanding and experience with concepts related to computer architecture and data structures.
- Proficiency in multiple Programming languages, like Golang, Node.js, and Python.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with GitHub, CI build systems and Automated Testing.
- Experience in developing and fine-tuning AI-powered coding assistants like Claude and GitHub Copilot, leveraging advanced NLP models to enhance developer productivity and code quality.
- Proactive and self-driven, with strong technical judgment and influential skills
- Expertise to provide both architectural guidance and detailed technical direction.
- Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to effectively engage with customers, stakeholders, and the engineering community.
- As a senior engineer, your role requires you to independently design and develop complex cloud-native applications, meeting the performance, scale and reliability requirements. In due course, carry out validation and qualification for enterprise readiness.
- Work closely with team members towards partnering and integrating systems for high-quality deliverables for customer success.
- Build modern CI/CD infrastructure that works all the time for several hundred developers working on a multitude of interconnected software deployment pipelines.
- As part of a larger team, you are required to work closely with team members and leadership in ensuring the overall team objectives are met as ONE team. Your partnership with other team members will be crucial to the success of all customer deliverables.
**Education**
- A minimum of 8 - 12 years of experience is required.
- A Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, a master's degree; or equivalent experience is required.
