Collateral management

  • Collateral Management’s principal function is risk mitigation, covering all currency, equity, rates and credit derivatives as well as FX, repo and commodity products traded across the world.
  • The Collateral Team’s primary role is to aggregate and manage the bank’s exposure across its entire collateralized portfolio.
  • The implementation of our effective collateral management agreements with our clients has dramatically reduced the amount of credit risk associated with a transaction. Our successful collateral management program lowers the bank’s credit line utilization and significantly reduces regulatory capital charges, which in turn leads to greater trading capacities and higher returns on capital.
  • The team is responsible for monitoring the margin calls, feeds & uploading / processing various trades feeds into the Collateral Systems to enable smooth & timely functioning of the various downstream functionalities. Pricing of securities held as collateral, performing reconciliation between various systems. Static data setup for new clients and maintenance of static data.
  • Securities Lending

    CONTRACT COMPARE & BILLING

  • Daily compare and reconciliation of Contracts with various brokers.
  • Working on various Financial Products for Securities Lending
  • Liaising with clients/ prime brokers for any issue with Contract Reconciliation.
  • Liaising with Trading Desk and resolving Complex Reconciliation breaks.
  • Reconciliation and validation of brokerage invoices.
  • Ensuring high value breaks are resolved on time to avoid risk
  • Reconciling breaks manually with counterparties who are not present on vendor platforms
  • 4 level control check while releasing payment to avoid incorrect amount being to be paid to client.
  • Reporting to senior Management on weekly basis
  • Analysis of Key Risk Indicators and root cause for trade failure & Managing Financial Risk post trade settlement
  • Analyzing the risk and control factors of the process of trade

    Loan Management primarily supports the Global Banking & Markets Division within Goldman Sachs. Loan Management, amongst other things, is responsible for directing and facilitating due diligence, portfolio analytics (at both, the deal and asset levels) for the acquisitions, asset management and sales/securitizations of various types of loan portfolios in the US/EMEA.
    Loan Management in Bengaluru seeks an Analyst to support the US mortgage desk. He/she will be acting as an Asset Manager and be primarily responsible for all Asset Management functions of the Warehouse Lending positions. Functions include deal/legal document review, portfolio performance monitoring, deal covenant monitoring, reporting, market research and deal onboarding to internal system. The AM will be helping the US counterparts in Pre/Post close discussions with the Trading Desk and Clients to understand the business needs and gather information to perform all Asset Management functions. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of structured finance asset classes, with experience on both the residential and consumer sides.


    Key Responsibilities
    •Deal Management: Manage warehouse facilities, assist legal and deal teams in negotiating loan terms and associated documents. Ensure seamless execution of warehouse deals.
    •Legal Document Interpretation: Expertly read and interpret governing legal documents such as credit agreements, fee letters, custodian agreements, and service agreements.
    •Data Modeling: Translate complex loan documentation into meaningful Excel or system models for analysis and reporting.
    •Collateral Management: Ensure collateral data adequacy for funding and other deal-related activities.
    •Covenant Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor key financial covenants within deal documents, effectively capture and analyze portfolio trends, and report to stakeholders.

    Qualifications:
    •Relevant experience in Mortgages or Consumer Portfolio / Collateral Analytics / Asset Management.
    •Strong academic background – Finance, business, accounting degree with a minimum 3.5 GPA or equivalent
    •Strong communication skills (clear, concise, and confident) with the ability to manage internal and external relationships.
    •Solid analytical/logical mindset and attention to detail
    •Technical skills required include SQL, RDBMS Databases (SQL Server or Sybase ASE preferred), Data Reporting and Data Visualizations. Alteryx, CAS, and Tableau experience is a plus.

    Who we are looking for

    Derivative SMEs are primarily responsible for the timely and accurate execution and reporting of derivative processing that impacts net asset valuations (NAVs) for our clients’ accounts (funds).

    What you will be responsible for

    As a derivative SME, you are primarily responsible for the timely and accurate execution and reporting derivative activities that impact to net asset valuations (NAVs) for our clients’ accounts (funds). The derivative SME identifies, analyzes and substantiates impacts of derivatives to the NAV. Critical functions performed include the processing of and verification of all derivative activities and reflecting the same in system to be captured by downstream teams, assisting in addressing derivative queries and participating in various programs with derivatives requirement. This could extend to assist in data analysis, test performing and various new products onboarding, etc.

  • The derivative SME possess strong risk awareness to verify potential NAV impacts issue including MTM movement, position checking and accrual verifications. This could extend to engage with various parties to deal with potential queries and verification of trades and cash items to ensure the integrity of the NAV. Sprits of self-determination and investigation are required.
  • Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • • Bachelor degree or above
  • • Demonstrate ability to resolve issues and client queries independently and communicate with other teams in English, both verbally and in writing;
  • • Act collaboratively in the team.
  • • Have a basic understanding of derivative markets
  • Working knowledge of creating Macros, AI ML, and Python knowledge is a plus.
