The Opportunity
The role of College Administration Assistant provides vital support across both Student Services and Reception, with responsibilities allocated based on the operational needs of the College. Working flexibly between the two areas, the Administration Assistants will play an important part in delivering high-quality support to students, staff, parents, and visitors.
In addition to regular rostered hours (3-4 days per week), there may be occasions where the successful applicants will be required to work additional days to provide coverage during periods of staff leave.
In Student Services, the Administration Assistants will assist with first aid, attendance processes, wellbeing support, and general administrative tasks to ensure students are well cared for and supported in their daily school life. Strong relationships with students, families, and staff are central to this aspect of the role.
In front Reception, the Administration Assistants will act as the first point of contact for all visitors, guests, and incoming enquiries. This includes greeting and assisting visitors, answering phone calls, managing the reception area, and providing courteous, professional, and timely responses. In this capacity, they will help to create a welcoming and positive atmosphere that reflects the values of the College.
Across both areas, the Administration Assistants will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, coordinating communication, and contributing to the smooth and professional operation of College services.

You are a highly organised, approachable, and professional individual with a genuine commitment to student wellbeing and delivering excellent customer service. With strong communication and interpersonal skills, you engage positively and respectfully with students, staff, parents, and visitors, contributing to a safe, welcoming, and inclusive College environment.
In supporting student wellbeing, you provide compassionate and practical assistance in the area of first aid, responding to student needs with care, professionalism, and discretion. You play an important role in reassuring students, coordinating appropriate support, and ensuring their health and safety while at the College.
You demonstrate emotional resilience and professionalism when managing sensitive matters and are confident working in a fast-paced setting where priorities may change quickly. Flexible and adaptable, you are also willing to work additional hours when required, including covering staff leave or assisting with special events, to ensure the smooth operation of College services.
