Overview

This role will lead an R&D GBS Technical Market Analysis team out of Hyderabad and be responsible for coordinating and managing scientific, competitive, market, and desk research activities, consumer testing, and new idea feasibility analysis. This role will support the overall Technical Market Analysis capability and serve as a central access point to in-market R&D teams for the provision of accurate and relevant research outputs.

Responsibilities

Act as a POC (point of contact) for R&D market analysis delivery to in-market R&D teams

Engage with in-market R&D leads in scoping the initial problem and defining key questions to frameup the research

Participate in required GBS governance meetings and provide reports on KPIs and SLAs as needed

Ensure all requests are processed, documented, and delivered within defined SLAs

Assign the appropriate resources for each project

CPG/FMCG/ Food and Beverage/Health and Nutrition/Life Science industry knowledge with systems level thinking and ability to cross reference other industry insights to shape the content that research team puts together

Visionary leader with an intent of digitizing and automating research in the future

Support in the execution and evolution of playbooks for Technical Market Analysis as needed

Lead team in the development of competitor assessments and benchmarking industry profiles and projects including industry trends, challenges, key players, IP, and value chain key points

Report to Technical Market Analysis Capability Lead when required

Foster and leverage working relationships with other GBS Technical Market Analysis teams in Hyderabad, and other GBS R&D Capabilities, when required

Train, mentor, and manage GBS teams of Senior Analysts and Analysts

Manage team workload and provide subject matter or market-specific expertise to support in daily execution of (high complexity) research activities when necessary; conduct project deliverable reviews to identify and correct gaps in the research or expected outcomes, actionable insights and recommendations for the stakeholders

Ability to multi-task and manage overall 2-3 research requests simultaneously for the stakeholders

Oversee and manage scientific, market, and consumer secondary research and analysis synthesis in line with global requests and ad hoc inquiries as required; ability to connect the dots across different requests and previous workstreams. 

Develop action plans and organize career path meetings to drive team motivation and increase retention rates

Identify potential areas for process improvements and employee upskilling to make recommendations to R&D GBS Leadership for continuous capability development

Qualifications

Strong understanding of Service Management processes especially business research/ technology-IP intelligence, strategic intelligence for CPG/ FMCG/ Food and Beverage/Health and Nutrition/Life Science industry, detail oriented and self-motivated

Decode the business problem and align with the expected outcomes to answer the key questions for stakeholder with advanced analytical research skills to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions

Ability to supervise and manage time effectively across multiple priorities and projects requiring a high degree of organizational and communication skills to ensure requests are delivered in a timely manner,

Experience working in a large global CPG company, with understanding of the CPG performance outputs and measures

Custom market research experience with specific knowledge of relevant subject matter literature resources a plus (technical, patent, food, beverage, ingredient, packaging, equipment, pharma preferably consumer healthcare, health or wellness sciences)

Knowledge of market research and analysis tools such as Statista, Mintel, Factiva, Euromonitor, Knovel, MarketLine, Crunchbase, PubMed, Science Direct, Orbit, and others

Experience of managing outputs of 2-3 junior analysts

Fluent in English

Summarize and analyze data and makes recommendations related to research findings

Ensure all requests are processed, documented, and delivered within defined SLAs

Reports findings, complete with graphs illustrating data and written text explaining complex findings

Appetite to scan through scientific research, search patents and draw out trends and technical direction of a functional area

Conduct new idea feasibility analysis to generate insights for the advancement of R&D

Delivers reports and presentation of findings in a concise, structured and story-telling way to executive leadership

Foster and leverage working relationships with other GBS Technical Market Analysis teams in Hyderabad

Qualifications

Academic: Bachelor’s degree required (Chemical Engineering, Food Technology, Pharma or any other science field; Master's degree a plus (MBA, MLS, MLIS, or any other science field

Description

Market and Valuation Risk Management (MVRM) provides an independent view of market risks and valuation to Deutsche Bank’s senior management. Market risk team manages Deutsche Bank’s Market Risk position in an independent and neutral way.

The Market Risk Analysis and Control (MRAC) Production function is responsible for the provision of all official market risk metrics and core analysis in support of risk management decision making, on behalf of the Market Risk Management department.

The team has a global presence with staff located in London, New York, Singapore, Mumbai and Pune.

The team operates a business/asset class and risk metric aligned organizational matrix supported by central functions.

Functionally the team is organized as follows:

Asset Class Teams – own the front to back process for the asset class, infrastructure optimization, market data optimization, MRM management interface. This team is divided by business e.g. Equity, Credit, FX, Rates, Emerging Markets, and Treasury etc.

Metric Production and Analysis - risk position data validation, calculation and reporting of all official market risk exposures and metrics, provision of analysis and commentary across all relevant risk metrics

Strategic Production – implementation of FRTB calculations, processes, controls and reporting

Run the Bank (RTB) Change - continuous improvement, business process reengineering, stability and process optimisation, test execution management

Data Quality and Operational Governance - data standards, completeness and accuracy, BCBS compliance, governance, documentation (KOP)

Reporting – strategic reporting and related data requirements, optimisation of reporting inventory and production, branding and quality of key reports

COO –organisational development, audit management, regulatory liaison

You will be exposed to risk management techniques viz. analysis/computation of VaR, SVaR, IRC, Backtesting for a diverse range of derivative products. Your key responsibilities

This role is within Market Risk Analysis and Control Pune to focus on a number of activities across Metric Production and Analysis, Data Quality and Reporting for individual asset classes and Deutsche Bank as a whole.

You will be a part of the Market Risk Analysis and Control (MRAC) function within MVRM and will be responsible for the VaR Production team which operates at a business/asset class and risk metric aligned organizational matrix supported by central functions.

The primary responsibilities will be:

Manage the team of Risk & VaR validation, mapping and related control along with hands-on involvement in production where necessary.

Enabling the team in Running of daily, weekly and month risk metrics like VaR, SVaR, IRC etc

Review of various risk metrics at a business & portfolio level and control on KPI

Generation and review of critical risk reports across different risk metrics VaR/ SVaR, PST, IRC/CVA

Work closely with other MRAC functions, MRMs and Finance teams for risk analysis and resolve issues around respective asset classes

Collate and analyse data to help highlight the issues that are impacting the daily production process and contribute to initiatives to resolve them.

Contribute to governance forums around BCBS239

Support testing of the bank’s risk models e.g Stressed Period Selection etc.

Support the analysis and communication of business portfolio level topics to senior management and their committees

Your skills and experience

University degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or other quantitative subject.

More than 10 years’ experience in Market Risk within the Financial Market / Investment Banking industry (other relevant backgrounds e.g. Trading, Product Control, IPV will also be considered)

Proficiency in Python/VBA, Tableau, MS Office tools is desired for the role

Good understanding of Market Risk workflows e.g. VaR, RNiV, Economic Capital, IRC.

Excellent communication skills; ability to articulate technical and financial topics with global stakeholders and the team

The Fraud, Credit Bust Out (CBO), Banking Product & Payments Risk Organization is a global team of risk officers, data scientists, and product managers that are building innovative solutions and capabilities to manage external fraud and payment risk across AMEX's card and banking portfolios.
We are looking for an **Analyst** **to join the Fraud, Credit Bust Out (CBO), Banking Product & Payments Business Operations team** , which will oversee how the Global fraud team meets expectations outlined in the enterprise-wide policies and governance requirements for operational and fraud risk management across both the global card and banking product portfolios. The team will be responsible for executing new programs that govern, monitor and improve the CBO and payments' group's extensive strategy execution controls, providing thematic analysis on operational issues associated with fraud processes, and creating and maintaining CBO and payments RCSAs.
Key Responsibilities
+ Support the RCSA program through administrative tasks related to process mapping, risk and control identification, assessment, and annual review
+ Support monitoring of portfolio performance by calculating prescribed metrics and participating and documenting in root cause analysis and remediation plans
+ Support through administrative tasks the timely updates of documentation and operational controls as new customer features & fraud capabilities are introduced
