About the role:

As part of the India Tech Hub (ITH) Communications team, this role reports into the Manager, Communications ITH and will be responsible for crafting clear and engaging communications across a wide range of subjects and channels. You are a key point of contact for cross-functional partners from across the business. You thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and can meet time-sensitive deadlines.

As the Communications Specialist, you are a compelling storyteller. Supporting integrated communications strategies, your work involves change and crisis communications, fostering two-way dialogue with our leadership team, and ensuring information is shared with our employees in a timely and considered way.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Support business objectives through strategic and impactful communications including (but not limited to) weekly newsletters, change management communications, presentations and speaking notes, editorial stories and intranet blog posts, copywriting and executive messages
  • Package communications in a clear and visual way through engaging presentations and graphic design
  • In partnership with the Communications Manager, foster relationships with key regional and global stakeholders to fluidly communicate company messaging, localising as necessary and driving engagement across SSC.
  • Work as a cross-functional partner and consultant you are a trusted, go-to person for leaders in the ITH business
  • Create and execute communications project plans, timelines, and defined deliverables that shape our culture, drive engagement, and deliver results
  • Co-create employee experiences with cross-functional partners
  • Support the creation and execution of our internal communications strategy
  • Act as local contact and support for our internal company intranet (youlu), connecting partners with the global youlu manager where appropriate
  • Lead the creation of internal videos, including script writing, prepping speakers and working with external vendors
  • Continually improve, measure, and evaluate effectiveness of employee communications strategy and methods

Qualifications:

  • Have a post-secondary degree in Communications, Journalism or related field, and 5-7 years professional experience in internal/corporate communications
  • Outstanding writer and storyteller with a talent for crafting a range of content including technical, change communications and inspirational
  • Experience in a fast-paced and unpredictable environment; ability to work well under tight timelines
  • Ability to work effectively and collaborate within a team
  • Graphic and web design skills highly regarded
  • External communications experience considered an asset

**Required Technical and Professional Experience**
+ Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, English, Journalism, or a related field.
+ 5-7 years of experience in a communication role, preferably within organizational change management or corporate communications, with demonstrable experience in online communication strategies and execution.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences and optimize content for online platforms.
+ Experience developing communication materials for various channels, with a strong portfolio of online communication examples (e.g., email campaigns, intranet content, social media posts).
+ Excellent organizational and project management skills.

**Preferred Technical and Professional Experience**
+ Experience with visual communication tools (e.g., Canva, basic graphic design software) and optimizing visuals for online use.
+ Familiarity with web analytics and online engagement metrics.
+ Knowledge of change management principles.
+ Experience in a consulting environment.
+ Experience with video production or editing for online distribution.
+ Understanding of stakeholder analysis and engagement techniques, including online engagement methods.

We are looking for an experienced communication designer with a background in advertising, and a knack for creating cohesive brand experiences. You are passionate about typography, design hierarchy, balance and you fully understand the necessity of compelling visual storytelling.

The Role:

As an experienced Communication Designer you will work across a variety of projects, from brand identity systems and campaigns to digital and print communications. As an all-round designer, you’re comfortable taking a project from concept through to final execution, collaborating with strategists, copywriters, and brand managers along the way.


What we would like to see:

  • 2+ years of experience in an advertising agency or creative studio
  • Experience in designing branding projects from concept stage to completed project
  • Strong portfolio showcasing corporate/ branding, campaign work, and multi-channel design (packaging design is a bonus)
  • Solid understanding of typography, layout, color, and visual hierarchy
  • Understand business objectives and proactively contribute both strategic and design ideas
  • Ability to develop a high level of understanding of briefs requirements, communication strategy and clients perspective and execution of campaigns along with team members.
  • Ability to develop the visual tone, and messages that will shape into the most effective communication for the concerned brand.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and juggle multiple projects at once


Professional Knowledge:

  • 2 years+ experience in an advertising/design/creative firm
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); familiarity with Figma or other design tools is a plus
  • Ability to create artwork
  • Understanding of Responsive design
  • Knowledge in video, motion graphics, HTML/CSS is a plus
