Responsibilities  -
 

Compliance Program Management:

  • Support the implementation and monitoring of compliance policies, procedures, and controls across the Asia region.

  • Assist with trade monitoring and electronic communications surveillance reviews, focusing on potential insider trading, market manipulation, and inadvertent receipt of material non-public information (MNPI).

  • Review surveillance alerts, conduct analysis, and escalate findings as needed.

  • Collaborate with other members of the Asia Compliance team to address compliance risks, regulatory developments, and operational challenges.

  • Manage additions/deletions to the Restricted List and requests to trade in alignment with firm policies.
     

  • Policy Development & Maintenance:

  • Assist in drafting, enhancing, and implementing compliance policies and procedures.

  • Conduct regular reviews to ensure policies remain effective and aligned with regulatory expectations.

  • Provide recommendations for mitigating compliance risks and improving operational efficiency.
     

  • Internal Investigations & Risk Assessments:

  • Support internal investigations into compliance-related matters, including broker or regulatory inquiries from different APAC countries.

  • Perform thorough risk assessments and contribute to implementing appropriate mitigation strategies.
     

  • Regulatory Awareness & Special Projects:

  • Monitor regulatory changes, updates, and industry-wide compliance initiatives.

  • Undertake and contribute where necessary to compliance-related projects involving various inter-department stakeholders.

  • Qualifications -

    Experience & Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Law, or a related field is preferred, with a strong academic record.

  • 5+ years of experience in compliance, trade surveillance, or a related field at a regulatory authority, bank/broker, or buy-side firm.

  • Experience in the securities and trading industry preferred.

  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements across Asia is advantageous.
     

  • Technical Expertise:

  • Previous experience working with third-party compliance and surveillance tools and platforms.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex compliance issues.

  • Proficient to advanced computer skills, including Bloomberg, MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

    Position Overview

    Zendesk is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Compliance Manager/Program Manager to help lead and manage the development, implementation, and maintenance of our compliance program, ensuring we meet all regulatory requirements and industry standards. This individual will play a critical role in protecting our organization, and for the India location, will serve as the local point of contact for compliance matters, working closely with global and regional stakeholders to ensure operations in India align with both local regulatory requirements and Zendesk’s global compliance standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Serve as the primary compliance representative for the India office, ensuring adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.

    • Coordinate with Legal, HR, IT, Finance, and other functions to ensure compliance across all operations. Coordinate and support the India Compliance Committee (ICC) to ensure cross-functional collaboration and escalation of key issues.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent; advanced degree in law, compliance, or related field preferred with a minimum 10–12 years of experience in compliance, risk management, legal, or regulatory affairs, preferably within a multinational organization.

    • Strong understanding of Indian regulatory and corporate governance requirements.

    Contract & Grant Compliance

    • Ensure all grants and contracts are executed in accordance with donor requirements and organisational policies.
    • Review funding agreements and provide compliance guidance to ensure adherence to regulatory and contractual obligations.
    • Monitor partner performance and compliance, addressing any concerns transparently and collaboratively to maintain accountability and program integrity.

    Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL)

    • Support the development and implementation of robust MEL frameworks to track capacity-building outcomes and compliance progress.
    • Update and maintain Project databases as required.
    • Coordinate with the Program Team to monitor and track the delivery of capacity-building activities, ensuring alignment with project timelines and objectives.
    • Input CRA results and complete partner surveys in the SOPACT system, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records for monitoring and reporting purposes.
    • Facilitate the sharing of lessons learned and best practices across AOP programs and partnerships to promote continuous improvement.

    What you will enjoy in this role:
    As Associate Program Compliance Specialist, you'll be an important member of our Program Compliance team, giving advertisers confidence that their promotions in the CJ Network are aligned with their policies and industry best practices. We do this with specialized technology and expertise, analysing and investigating publisher activity, network data, and promotional content. You'll work closely with local teammates as well as Program Compliance Managers in the US. You'll learn first-hand about our search engine marketing and content monitoring technologies, analyze results, and deliver reporting through our proprietary compliance platform.

    Responsibilities
    • Facilitate affiliate marketing activities in collaboration with the Program Compliance team
    • Deliver outstanding service to our advertiser clients as part of the Program Compliance team
    • Audit publisher content for accuracy according to each client's approved promotional details and program policies
    • Perform content and campaign reviews/audits based on specified criteria
    • Assess the results of content monitoring technologies, validate violations, and enter details into reporting platform
    • Monitor search engines for joined publishers bidding on client trademarks, applicable keyword terms, and recording the violations in the reporting platform
    • Collaborate with teammates locally and across regions
    • Participate in internal team meetings and special projects
    • Send violation notices and follow up to ensure the issues are resolved
    • Manage publisher outreach and communicate with clients
    • Lead new account or tool-related transitions for the team
    • Identify opportunities to improve process efficiency

    Qualifications
    • 2 years of related experience in content auditing, digital media or client services role
    • Bachelor's degree
    • Self-driven and laser-focused individual who takes the initiative to solve problems
    • Thorough and detail-oriented with excellent time-management and follow-through skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Critical thinking skills with the ability to understand and interpret policy
    • Decisive with excellent judgment in policy enforcement
    • Great teammate capable of working in a fast-paced environment
    • Basic knowledge on MS office suite
    • Ability to multitask and keen attention to detail
    • Prior experience in a content auditing role will be helpful
    • Basic knowledge of Affiliate Marketing will be an added advantage
