Job Description
WWF-India is looking for dynamic and self-motivated biologists, with a zeal to work for research and conservation actions supporting raptors and the overall environmental well-being. The candidate is expected to conduct actionable research and take actions on ground for raptors and their habitats conservation– including data analysis and reporting. The position will be based at field locations in Karnataka.
· Undertake raptor research and conservation work to assess status of their populations, distribution and factors affecting their long-term survival.
· Ensure timely implementation of the activities.
· Coordinate with various Govt. department(s), and community groups and other stakeholders for planning out and timely implementation of the activities.
· Identify and work with partners and stakeholders to promote raptor conservation
· Identify solutions for raptor conservation based on work on the ground and consultation with key stakeholders.
· Coordinate with supervisors, as well as communication team at WWF-India Secretariat for communicating progress as well as success stories.
· Represent WWF-India at relevant fora and build its network with key players in the sector.
· Any other task that is given by the organization for meeting its objectives.
Requirements
1. Masters or higher qualification in the field of ecology/wildlife/environment
2. Experience in raptor research or avian ecology and conservation
3. Data collection and analysis, report writing, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.
Requirements
Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in Sales/Marketing /NGO /Fundraising/Journalism /Banking /Relationship Management. Good working knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint & MS Excel. Excellent written and oral communication skills and experience writing and designing donor communications. High target orientation and ability to deliver in a high-performance and high-pressure environment. Creative, positive, team player mindset with strong donor/client-servicing skills. Mandatory skill
sets:
· In-depth knowledge of security technologies (Radar, Lidar, Perimeter Security, Access Control Systems, CCTV) and incident management software (ICCC). · Experience of working with law enforcement agencies on various technology initiatives like (Safe City/ Nirbhaya/ CCTNS/ ICJS/ERSS/Dial 112/Smart Cities/Critical Infrastructure, etc.) · Thorough knowledge of MS Excel, Power Point, and other project management tools.
Preferred skill
sets:
At least 3 years of experience as a consultant for government or public sector clients in the Security & Surveillance domain having past experience in working in projects in the area of Smart or Safe Cities, ITMS and City Surveillance Projects having Integrated Command & Control Center.
