Role Overview
To take ownership of project planning, billing, cost control, and efficiency tracking across NV Infras EPC projects. The Planning Engineer will ensure accurate RA billing, maintain tight control on material and labour usage, monitor productivity and highlight deviations safeguarding profitability and timely cash flow while enabling scale.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Scheduling
- Prepare baseline project schedules (MS Project / Primavera / Excel Gantt).
- Monitor daily/weekly progress against planned schedule using DPR inputs.
- Prepare look-ahead plans (weekly/monthly) for site teams.
- Identify & flag delays and propose recovery actions to site teams and management.
Material Control
- Maintain material consumption registers (cement, steel, blocks, shuttering etc).
- Compare theoretical requirement vs actual site usage; report wastage %.
- Weekly reconciliation of site material usage vs billed quantities.
- Flag deviations in material consumption.
Labour Productivity Tracking
- Monitor daily gang outputs (masonry, shuttering, bar bending, finishing etc).
- Compare actual productivity with standard market benchmarks.
- Recommend labour strength adjustments to meet schedule targets.
- Cost Analysis & Efficiency tracking
- Maintain Cost-to-Bill Tracker: billed value vs actual cost (materials + labour + subcontractors).
- Analyse variances and highlight profit leakages to management.
- Support corrective actions (rework claims, rate revisions, vendor negotiations).
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare weekly Efficiency & Cost Control Report (progress, productivity, wastage, cost vs bill).
- Maintain proper records of BOQs, RA bills, variation claims, and reconciliations.
- Coordinate with Accounts for invoicing and cash flow forecasting.
Project Projections
- Support management in cash flow forecasting.
- Prepare MIS reports for management review.
Quantity Surveying & Billing
- Prepare BOQs from drawings, verify site quantities.
- Prepare RA bills and submit to client/consultants on time.
- Track variations, extra items, escalation claims and ensure billing coverage.
- Reconcile client certified quantities vs executed quantities.
- Coordinate with site engineers for joint measurements.
Requirements
- Diploma/Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management or related field.
- 2-5 years of planning experience in construction or real estate projects is mandatory
- Knowledge of planning tools (MS Project/Primavera) and MS Office.
- Good communication and coordination skills.

As a Data Center Construction Schedule Program Manager, you will report to the APJC Construction Program Lead to support APJC Construction Managers to reduce the delivery duration and drive the efficiency. Key job responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a centralised system for project scheduling, reporting and analytics to provide visibility into project performance across the region, including schedule contingency management, work breakdown structure, assumptions and critical path.
- Develop and maintain the governance framework to ensure Vendors and Construction Managers compliant to the business end to end schedule management program.

- Conduct regular reviews of project schedules, critical paths and dependencies to assess project risks, optimise resource allocation and mitigate schedule delays and cost overruns.
- Accumulate and analyses historical data for use in maintaining realistic future planning and forecasting, including schedules, progress reports and resource utilization and analyse key performance indicators to identify trends, variances and areas for improvement.
A day in the life
You will use data and anecdotes to tactically drive internal customers to manage project risks (time, cost, quality and safety). You will apply your knowledge and experience to identify and develop dashboard reporting to provide the visibility to peers and the leadership to drive better business outcomes. You need to have the backbone to use the data to tell the business "this is what the data is telling us, and this is how it is done" and develop solutions that enable our Construction Managers to enforce the effective project control with their General Contractors and vendors.
You must be an effective communicator, sending clear, concise and consistent messages verbally, in written form, and/or public speaking forums. You must have diplomacy, patience and tact to earn trust in relationships to effectively advise, instruct and challenge internal and external partner teams on strategies and processes.
About the team
You will be integrated with a global network of Construction professionals including Construction Managers, , Project Control Managers, Program Managers, Regional Managers, and Regional Project Engineers in operational teams, as well as the Data Engineers.
Our Data Center Construction Program team owns and drives the process and dashboard reporting from constructability of design, procurement strategies, proposal development, bid analysis, award, to managing the onsite construction work.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years schedule management, project control and formulating construction program, especially for infrastructure and mission critical projects both on-site and in preconstruction environments. **Responsibilities**
Key duties and responsibilities include:
+ Manage all aspects of planning, scheduling, and programming of work.
+ Lead planning input on assigned projects, including managing contributions from other planners to ensure consistent and effective delivery aligned with scope, time, cost, and quality requirements.
+ Establish baseline schedules and control procedures and monitor progress to ensure early identification of issues.
+ Provide progress and earned value reports to support financial forecasting and enable timely corrective actions.
+ Assist senior planners in monitoring project risks, issues, resource allocation, and CPM analysis; support the project controls manager in keeping with WSP and client standards.
+ Support project planning, scheduling, and control inputs for estimating and tendering activities, ensuring relevant issues, actions, and risks are addressed.
+ Promote a high-performance culture aligned with WSP values by actively participating in performance management and contributing to the professional growth of team members.
+ Contribute to the planning and control strategies of assigned projects, including the development of standards, procedures, dashboards, and progress reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
+ Perform other tasks as assigned by the Line Manager or Head of Department (HOD) within the GCC PMCM team. **Key Competencies / Skills**
**Mandatory Skills:**
+ Strong expertise in project scheduling and proven experience with planning tools such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
+ Solid understanding and application of Critical Path Analysis, Earned Value Techniques, and general project management principles.
+ Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word for creating tools and dashboards to support stakeholder communication.
+ In-depth knowledge of project scheduling philosophies, principles, practices, and techniques.
+ Experience reviewing and ensuring the quality of junior planners' work; excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
**Preferred Skills:**
+ Experience with Power BI for reporting and visualisation.
+ Ability to mentor and guide junior planners to deliver planning outputs on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
**Qualifications**
+ Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in engineering and Post Graduation in Project/Construction Management
+ Typically, 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in project scheduling and reporting.
+ Certification in project management (e.g., CAPM, PMP, or PRINCE2).
+ Preferred: Additional qualifications in Project Management (APM- PFQ / AMP-PMQ)
