The UK Digital Services Team is a small, agile group located across the UK business involved with external fee earning work such as BIM and Information Management activities as well as Virtual Reality and Immersive Technology implementation.
About the Role: The candidate will report to the Head of Digital Services in our Digital Services team and will be involved in coordination of construction model information and implementation of BIM through the design, construction and operational stages for a construction projects lifecycle. The post holder will have a high degree of independence and must be able to manage their own workload. They will be highly motivated and confident working independently and as part of a team. Prospective candidates will have a background in building design of any discipline but must be willing to adopt a multidisciplinary approach.
Responsibilities:
- Attending weekly meetings with the Digital Services Team to agree workload for the week and prioritization of tasks.
- Generation of spatial co-ordination tests (Clash detection) within Navisworks at agreed milestones, rationalizing and production of reports indicating the issues to be coordinated.
- Walkthrough review of federated models to highlight potential buildability, operability, and maintainability issues.
- Updating Newforma Konekt / ACC Issues system with the issues found.
- Producing coordination reports from the Newforma Konekt / ACC Issues system.
- Working with UK Digital Services team to assign issues to the appropriate organizations and persons to ensure robustly coordinated designs are delivered.
- Managing the ACC Design collaboration, coordination space, QA/QC reviews and workflow.
- Auditing of model information (Revit) against criteria.
- Peer review for the BIM documents and reporting.
- Preparing/Managing ACC Build checklists for ongoing construction.
Qualifications & Skills:
- A clear understanding of Building Information Modelling and its benefits to the construction Industry.
- Having a structured background experience.
- A good knowledge of Solibri Office.
- A multidisciplinary approach to design, independent of background.
- Experience of using a variety of modelling packages and their interoperation.
- Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects while maintaining a deadline focus.
