About the Team
The team you will be joining is the Professional Services team at Nutanix, located in Bangalore. This team is dedicated to providing top-notch consulting services, focusing on virtualization, software-defined networking, and network security. With a culture that emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and customer-centric solutions, we strive to help organizations achieve their IT transformation goals while fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment. Our mission is to empower businesses with the latest technologies to optimize their data center and hybrid cloud strategies.
You will report to the Sr Director of Professional Services, who is known for a dynamic leadership style that encourages open communication, creativity, and growth among team members. This role is hybrid, requiring you to work in the office part of the week while still enjoying the flexibility of remote work the rest of the time.
This position may involve travel requirements of up to 15%, allowing for opportunities to engage with clients and collaborate with teams on-site as needed.
Your Role
+ Design and implement SDN solutions, encompassing virtual networks and security policies.
+ Architect and enforce microsegmentation strategies and Zero Trust principles across environments.
+ Collaborate with enterprise network and security teams for integration of virtual and physical infrastructures.
+ Optimize and manage virtualization platforms, ensuring seamless orchestration and lifecycle management.
+ Troubleshoot network overlays and policy enforcement issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
+ Mentor junior consultants and facilitate technical workshops to enhance team skills.
+ Develop relationships with customers to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
+ Achieve first-year objectives by leading successful project deployments and enhancing security measures in client environments.
What You Will Bring
+ 10+ years of experience in data center virtualization and SDN solutions.
+ Strong expertise in hypervisors (VMware vSphere / Nutanix AHV) and SDN platforms (VMware NSX / Nutanix Flow).
+ Deep understanding of network virtualization, microsegmentation, and Zero Trust principles.
+ Proficiency in architecture and design of virtual networks, gateways, and centralized control systems.
+ Hands-on experience in security policy management, compliance integration, and troubleshooting.
+ Strong ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical architectures.
+ Excellent consulting and communication skills for effective customer engagement.
+ Preferred certifications: VCP-NV, VCAP-NV, CCNP Data Centre, Nutanix NCP.
+ Willing to work in the US time zone.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. Most roles, like this one, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 3 days per week, however flexibility is expected when situation arises for additional face time in the office. For example for project meetings, customer meetings, training, etc. 25-50% Travel is expected across major cities in India.
