Job Summary: We are looking for an A&R professional with deep expertise in the Tamil music ecosystem - spanning devotional, film and non-film genres. This role involves scouting exceptional talent, developing high-quality projects to reach diverse audiences across digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Talent Scouting & Acquisition: Identify and sign artists, lyricists, composers and producers across devotional and non-film spaces.
- Devotional Music Development: Ideate authentic spiritual projects, maintain and manage existing south catalogues.
- Release Strategy & Calendar Management: Schedule & curate music albums and releases around festive periods to maximize digital reach.
- Market & Trend Analysis: Track streaming data, industry developments and audience behaviour to take informed A&R decisions.
- Planning and monitoring projects: Being responsible for planning and monitoring assigned projects and complete music release schedule within agreed budgets and timelines for film and non-film music.
- Internal Coordination: Work closely with other label departments/employees, including Digital Sales & Promotion, Marketing, social media, Legal and Finance teams to ensure recorded material is commercially.
Requirements:
- 5-8 years of experience in the Tamil/South music industry.
- Strong network of artists, composers, lyricists and producers across devotional and non-film genres.
- Deep understanding of regional music trends, audience preferences and digital platforms.
- Excellent project management, negotiation and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Creative thinker with commercial acumen.
