We are looking for an engineer to join our Cost Reduction department as a broad skilled R&D engineer that can contribute and lead these efforts.

We are working with various modalities, including CT, mammography, CV, and radiography. 

You will be joining an R&D group that works on a variety of projects and validation efforts. If you can handle challenging product requirements and deadlines, work with a broad range of technical backgrounds, handle success and failure with an indomitable spirit, and work through the rigors of validation - we would love to talk to you!

Identify, implement, and validate cost reduced designs and/or manufacturing methods for X-ray tubes in the CT, Mammo, Radiographic and Diagnostic modalities. Validation requires statistical analysis of identified performance criteria. Validation work can range from simple dimensional check and material confirmation to life testing to confirm performance. Document drawings, procedures, routers, etc. for cost reduction items. Confirm that FDA and UL regulations are met during the process. Plan and manage projects to completion. 3D modeling software, statistical analysis software, Validation tools, dimensional measuring equipment, X-ray tube power equipment, and ASTM test methods will be used to complete these assignments. Initiate Engineering Change Orders to establish local components. Goal is to reduce cost.

 Your Role.

  • Use full set of engineering disciplines and processes to develop, procure, build, test, and qualify components from new suppliers

  • Document validation report and get approval from the business to meet regulatory requirements and prevent quality issues

  • Work well as a team with procurement, production, and quality to validate components from new suppliers to improve the profitability of the business

  • Report out the progress of many different projects to the executive leadership team

  • Troubleshoot and understand the root cause and potential solutions to issues with the components and/or the vendors

  • Your Profile.

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering

  • 5+ years of related experience

  • Strong overall general engineering skills and understanding of applied physics (we use all the mechanical and electrical disciplines, metallurgy, materials, manufacturing processes, electron beam design, and chemical cleaning and surface preparation processes)

  • Experience using ANSYS, Solidworks, and other CAE tools a plus

  • Experienced in critically determining validation test methods/criteria/protocols

  • Experience communicating with vendors as part of the efforts to perform cost reduction

  • Strong experience with manufacturing and assembly processes and methods along with experience developing electro-mechanical components and sub-systems is preferred 

  • Experience designing or manufacturing X-ray tubes or systems

  • Has familiarity with laboratory measurement equipment

  • Ability to perform statistical analyses to justify conclusions

  • Demonstrated success in driving products to market

    **JOB DESCRIPTION**
    Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team in a fast paced and challenging area? This is a unique opportunity for you to work in the process optimization team to partner with the Business and deliver automated solutions

    **Job Summary**

    As a Process Improvement Associate within the Process Optimization team, you are expected to review business processes to identify opportunities for automation. You will determine suitable tactical automation tools, such as UiPath and Alteryx, develop solutions using these tools, incorporating Python when necessary ,conduct end-to-end testing of the solution and managing any post-go-live issues, all while adhering to the governance framework throughout the project lifecycle. Additionally, you are expected to collaborate effectively with both business and technology teams to achieve desired outcomes.

    **Job responsibilities**
    - Analyze and design Intelligent Automation solutions using different languages and development tools like UiPath, Python, Alteryx, Tableau, VBA,.Net, SQL and SharePoint
    - Own end-to-end development, maintenance and enhancement of automated solutions to improve the operations processes.
    - Coordinate and work directly with different stakeholders throughout the development and delivery lifecycle.
    - Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure proper implementation of the solutions along with adherence to firmwide governance framework.
    - Prepare process and end-user documentation for developed solutions and provide required support.
    - Deliver productivity, quality, customer satisfaction, efficiency to the business through automated solutions.
    - Demonstrate self learning attitude by enhancing their knowledge on latest technologies and industry best practices.

    **Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills**
    - Bachelor’s degree required
    - Minimum 2 yeras strong hands-on experience in developing automation solutions using cutting edge technologies like UiPath, Python, Alteryx, Tableau, VBA,.Net, SQL and SharePoint; software development framework and object oriented programming techniques
    - Demonstrable experience as a Robotic Process Automation Developer using Robotic technologies, particularly with UiPath
    - Strong hands-on experience and understanding in developing and amending automation code, testing and ensuring everything has been done for go-live
    - Act as a Subject Matter Expert within the Robotic Process Automation Development and technologies, especially around UiPath
    - Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
    - Excellent problem solving skills
    - Strong capability to recommend innovative solutions to as is processes
    - Strong stakeholder management skills

    **Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills**
    - Certifications in Uipath, Alteryx or any other Intelligent Automation tools is preferred
    - Experience working on Python, Machine learning is preferred
