Position Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Senior Security Leader to head our regional Information Security and Risk Management (ISRM) team in our Bangalore office. This individual will be responsible for overseeing regional security operations, managing and mentoring a high-performing team, and ensuring alignment with global cybersecurity objectives. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and a passion for developing talent in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead day-to-day security operations in the India region, ensuring effective execution of security programs, incident response, threat detection, and vulnerability management.

Manage and grow a team of security professionals across various domains (SOC, GRC, IAM, etc.). Provide coaching, mentorship, training, and career development for junior and mid-level staff.

Act as the senior ISRM delegate in the region, translating strategic objectives into actionable plans. Drive execution of global cybersecurity initiatives locally.

Collaborate with global security leaders, IT, engineering, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and support.

Ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR). Support audits and risk assessments.

Lead or support major incident investigations and post-mortems. Coordinate with global teams to ensure timely and effective resolution.

Identify opportunities to enhance security posture, streamline operations, and adopt innovative technologies or practices.

Drive ongoing enhancements to security processes, tools, and strategies to adapt to the dynamic, fast-paced environment and evolving threat landscape.

Ensure security requirements are integrated into business continuity and disaster recovery plans.

Continuously validate organizational compliance within country laws, regulations, and internal policies

Lead security training and awareness programs locally

Collaborate with Indian government agencies to understand and adhere to local security and regulatory requirements.

Represent Applied Materials in industry and security forums.

Act as a representative of Applied Materials in recruiting both experienced professionals and new college graduates.

Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Proven experience managing security operations and leading technical teams.

Strong understanding of enterprise security architecture, threat landscape, and risk management.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Experience working in a global, matrixed organization.

Empathetic leader with a passion for mentoring and team development.

Job overview and responsibilities

The Senior Manager - Product Cybersecurity is a technical leader responsible for managing a team of highly innovative cybersecurity engineers responsible for developing and maintaining end-to-end security architecture of United’s product(s)/application(s)/service(s).  This person will create and implement a vision for security across all products within the United portfolio. 

• Define, prioritize, allocate resources, track, and provide status reporting of work assignments, projects, and programs. Provides overall resource/project management for department, including matching people to projects, obtaining needed resources, etc. 
• Monitors changes in legislation and compliance standards that affect assigned areas of responsibility and proactively acts to update standards, best practices and architectures based on this information.
• Manages, coordinates, and evaluates the work of assigned cybersecurity department to ensure the security, confidentiality, integrity & availability of United’s systems, products, and services. 
• Works with cross functional teams to develop, document and implement cybersecurity standards, best practices, and architectures. 
• Coordinates remediation of non-compliant items to meet applicable compliance standards and best practices. 
• Manages the development and implementation of cybersecurity strategies. 
• Maintains relationships with internal and external audit agencies to facilitate execution of audits.

Qualifications What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business Administration
• 9+ years of IT and business/industry work experience
• Strong and proven ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience and stakeholders 
• Experience with threat modeling or other risk identification techniques, and risk management 
• Experience managing teams to identify strategic and tactical risk 
• Experience partnering and influencing cross functional teams to drive security improvements 
• Experience driving prioritization of security risks/vulnerabilities and ensuring that they are properly understood by the business and fixed and/or mitigated 
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and recommendations and drive actions 
• Excellent oral and written communication skills 
• Demonstrated ability to convey complex technical subjects in a concise and direct manner 
• Demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking, logical structuring skills and a willingness to learn and stretch outside of your comfort zone 
• Demonstrated knowledge on threat landscape, security threat and vulnerability management, and security monitoring and analytics
• Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship
• Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
• Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

The Position

Responsibilities of the Regional Sales Manager will include: learning the OPSWAT technology; developing and implementation of a strategic account plans targeting deployments of our Cybersecurity platforms and solutions to Government (local and central) ; leveraging company resources; and closing business and celebrating success. The ideal candidate will have multiple years of continually exceeding sales quotas while forecasting accurately and selling Cybersecurity solutions.

The role will be located in Bangalore .

What You Will Be Doing

Strategically target business opportunities that leverage high value use cases, in key verticals

Develop and execute sales strategies and tactics to sell OPSWAT products, solutions, and services to exceed your sales quotas

Communicate value propositions to clients that speak intimately to their needs and requirements

Utilize client-centric, solutions-oriented selling strategies and hunter’s mentality to identify, qualify, convert enterprise sales

Effectively articulate financial ROI/TCO value, and build value throughout the negotiation process

Maintain extensive account and opportunity detail in Salesforce CRM, including account win plans, customer touch points, sales inhibitors, etc.

Forecast and report revenue projections accurately to management

Overachieve on annual quota, measured quarterly

What We Need From You

You have 5-10 years of experience successfully selling technology products and solutions to business

You have a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical discipline or equivalent experience

You have a successful track record selling complex-solutions directly to enterprise customers and through Channel/SI Partners

You’re persuasive, and have excellent negotiation and presentation skills. You can effectively communicate with both technology-oriented and senior business executives at the “C” level, and are comfortable articulating the technical and business value of the OPSWAT platforms.

Your work is a mix of strategic and proactive account activity, and you have a demonstrated ability of uncovering, qualifying, developing, and closing new accounts

Ability to set goals, prioritize tasks, and achieve success with minimal oversight in a sometimes ambiguous work environment.

You keep your pipeline accurate and your forecast updated for management

You possess, at minimum, a fundamental understanding of security threats, solutions, and security tools.

You have excellent time management skills, and work with high levels of autonomy and self-direction

You’re highly competitive, ramp quickly, are extremely adaptive, and pride yourself on exceeding sales goals

You are able to travel as necessary to your assigned accounts, and to Company meetings.
