    Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum four-year experience in security vulnerability analysis and Pen testing (VAPT) on cloud services, web products/ enterprise applications.

  • Ability to execute Appsec tools; Mandatory to know industry standard tools like – Burp-suite, Invicti & Fortify (or any SAST tool), Cloud-Native tools and open-source tools like - Kali, Nmap, Wireshark, Metasploit, ZAP, Echo Mirage.

  • Technical Knowledge on SDLC and implementation essentials of various application types - Desktop, Web, API, Mobile (Hybrid/ Native) & Cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

  • Ability to understand & review Java or .NET (must have), Angular (nice to have) code with respect to security vulnerability.

  • Clear understanding on OWASP, GDPR/ ISO Security standards.

  • Exposure to DevAppSec automation & scripting is preferred.

  • Valid Certification in VAPT/ Ethical Hacking in Mobile /Web /Cloud security is must.

  • Knowledge of AI tools & securing Docker containers like Kubernetes are advantages.

    **A Day in the Life**
    The Senior Specialist will join the External Cyber Risk team within the Global Cyber & Information Security Organization (GCISO), working closely with the Global Data and Privacy Center of Expertise (Privacy COE). Key responsibilities include conducting and managing third-party risk assessments to evaluate a vendor's ability to manage information risks and protect company data. The candidate will collaborate with both business teams and third-party vendors to provide assessment reports, executive summaries, and actionable recommendations for remediation.
    Additionally, the role involves communicating, escalating, and tracking progress on remediation activities, ensuring effective risk mitigation. The analyst will assess information security risks inherent in various vendor engagements and translate these risks into clear business terms. Staying current on information security and data privacy trends and understanding their implications for the organization's programs will also be crucial for success in this role.
    Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
    Risk Assessments & Analysis:
    + Conduct comprehensive cybersecurity risk assessments for third-party vendors, identifying potential threats and vulnerabilities to organizational assets and data.
    + Document and analyze inherent risk scores to determine the baseline risk associated with each vendor relationship.
    + Review vendor responses to security and privacy questionnaires, security attestations, and other documentation to identify gaps in vendor cybersecurity postures.
    + Prepare detailed risk assessment reports, documenting findings, risk levels, and recommendations for remediation.
    Collaboration & Communication:
    · Work with cross-functional teams to resolve data security and privacy issues.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in GRC frameworks and processes, including system selection, system administration, and supporting core GRC functions. Act as technical system administrator for GRC specific technology.
    + Collaboration & Cross-Functional Coordination: Work in tandem with IT, security operations, compliance, legal, and other GCISO and Medtronic departments to ensure seamless compliant execution of projects, adherence to industry standards, and alignment with organizational priorities.

    Minimum Qualifications)
    PRINCIPAL LEVEL:
    + Requires a Baccalaureate degree Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, or a related field. (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A) and
    + Minimum of 14 years of overall experience.
    NICE TO HAVE (Preferred Qualifications)

    Experience:

    A Day in the Life

  • Maintain relationships within Operating Unit proactively share business' upcoming projects to the GSO
  • Engage with cross functional teams to drive complex data security issues to resolution
  • Contribute continuous improvement to the methodologies and practices of the Business Information Security to attain higher capability maturity levels
  • Track status of open requests/tasks and drive accountability of requestors to ensure timely submitting
