Estarta is seeking a highly skilled Datacenter Network Engineer to join our global team supporting Cisco. This role is best suited for professionals with deep expertise in Cisco Nexus technologies and a proven ability to design, optimize, and secure large-scale enterprise datacenter networks.
As a key technical contributor, you will be responsible for ensuring network resiliency, scalability, and operational efficiency in complex environments, while driving innovation through automation and modern datacenter practices .
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage advanced datacenter networking solutions built on Cisco Nexus platforms (NX-OS, Nexus 5K/7K; Nexus 9K exposure is a plus).
- Configure and troubleshoot advanced Cisco datacenter technologies, including:
- Virtual Port Channel (vPC) for high availability and load balancing
- Overlay Transport Virtualization (OTV) for Layer 2 extension
- FabricPath for scalable and resilient Layer 2 networking
- Ensure continuous availability, security, and performance of datacenter network infrastructure.
- Perform capacity planning, proactive monitoring, and performance optimization .
- Leverage automation and scripting (Python preferred) to streamline operations, reduce manual intervention, and enhance operational consistency.
- Actively contribute to incident management, root cause analysis, and change control processes .
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation , including network topology, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to align solutions with enterprise standards and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on expertise with Cisco Nexus platforms (NX-OS, Nexus 5K/7K; Nexus 9K desirable).
- In-depth knowledge of vPC, OTV, and FabricPath technologies.
- Solid understanding of Layer 2/3 networking protocols, datacenter topologies, and enterprise-class environments .
- Proficiency in Python scripting or equivalent programming for automation and network optimization.
- CCIE Datacenter/Enterprise certification (preferred) or equivalent extensive real-world experience.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with network automation/orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible, Netmiko, Nornir).
- Knowledge of network virtualization and emerging datacenter technologies (VXLAN, EVPN, SDN).
- Experience in client-facing or managed services roles supporting mission-critical environments.
- Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills .
