ABOUT THE ROLE
Role Description:
The Data Compliance Analyst will be responsible for maintaining data standards, policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), defined by data owners. These standards, policies, and SOPs will govern sensitive data (e.g., PII) across the enterprise.   This data role will also audit security access controls on sensitive data in the different data platforms to ensure Product Teams adhere to the data policies, standards and SOPs.
Roles & Responsibilities:
+ Responsible for maintaining data standards, policies, SOPs, by partnering with DataManagement Platforms team, to enable technology to discover, tag, and generate metadata to manage data access controls.
+ Responsible for operationalizing the data access controls and in partnership with functional data owners and technology teams, ensure data access controls, compliance with privacy and security regulations are enforced.
+ Maintain policies and ensures compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory policies
+ Publish metrics to measure effectiveness and drive adoption of Data Access policies and standards, that will be applied to mitigate identified risks across the data lifecycle (e.g., capture / production, aggregation / processing, sharing, reporting / consumption).
Functional Skills:
**Must-Have Skills:**
+ Technical skills with knowledge of Pharma processes and data privacy.
+ General knowledge of data management, common data models, metadata management, data quality, master data management, data stewardship, data protection, etc.
+ Experience with data products development life cycle, including the enablement of data dictionaries, business glossary to increase data products reusability and data literacy.
+ Customer-focused with excellent written and verbal communication skills who can confidently work with internal Amgen business stakeholders and external service partners on business process and technology topics
+ Experience of working with or supporting systems used to data governance framework. E.g. Collibra, Alation
+ Excellent problem-solving skills and committed attention to detail in finding solutions
**Good-to-Have Skills:**
+ Experience with Agile software development methodologies (Scrum)
+ Proficiency in data analysis and quality tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Python, or SAS).

Vishay is looking for a motivated, tech-savvy Data Privacy & Compliance Specialist to support the Global Data Privacy & Compliance Function in driving and operationalizing key global initiatives across data privacy, whistleblowing, AI governance, training initiatives and broader compliance topics. In this highly dynamic and cross-functional role, you will contribute to shaping the company’s global approach to privacy and responsible technology use, while building subject matter expertise in some of the most relevant areas of corporate compliance.

What you will be doing:

  • Support the coordination of Data Privacy Impact Assessments for global projects.
  • Maintain and update the Record of Processing Activities (RoPA) and ensure data flow documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Support global and regional compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy frameworks, including website cookie management.
  • Assist in vendor and data transfer assessments, incl. DPAs, SCCs, and TIA documentation.
  • Support the monitoring of the global whistleblowing system in alignment with the EU Whistleblower Directive.
  • Assist in the preparation of briefings and documentation for case reviews.
  • Responsible AI & Digital Governance
  • Support the implementation of the EU AI Act and other digital regulatory frameworks across functions.
  • Help review and classify AI use cases, including maintaining internal inventories and risk-based assessments.
  • Coordinate input for policy updates, employee guidance, and training related to AI governance.
  • Project & Program Support.
  • Coordinate compliance-driven projects and internal initiatives across regions.
  • Collaborate with IT, Legal, HR, and external vendors to ensure practical and compliant implementation of tools and systems.
  • Assist with the preparation of internal presentations, dashboards, and briefings for senior leadership.

What will you bring along:

  • Bachelor’s degree in law, Business, IT, or related field.
  • 4+ yrs of First experience or strong interest in data privacy, compliance, and AI/ technology regulation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle confidential topics discreetly.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Proactive mindset, eager to learn and comfortable navigating ambiguity.
  • Familiarity with tools such as OneTrust, Microsoft Purview, Copilot, Mulesoft and ChatGPT or similar

You are able to organize and streamline a complex set of privacy requirements across business lines and jurisdictions.   • Point of contact for global data subject requests, including coordinating and streamlining divergent processes for multiple business lines across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC regions

  • Handle initial intake from multiple channels and assist with responses to inquiries from regulators, customers and patients, team members, customer support, and other partners

  • Assist with global privacy governance projects, including privacy laws from California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Virginia, and other state privacy laws; federal privacy laws and regulations, including HIPAA,

  • Track and support privacy's data incident response activities and collaborate with various stakeholders, including the cybersecurity response team

  • Assist implementation and periodic reviews of policies, notices, and practices to facilitate compliance with ResMed’s global privacy obligations

  • Research, monitor and summarize changes in privacy laws and regulations and understand their potential implications to the digital health solutions of ResMed and its customers

  • Prepare resources to support privacy compliance including FAQs and other informational materials; conduct privacy-related training and addressing questions on privacy compliance

  • Relevant privacy experience, including at a law firm, consultancy and/or in-house preferably at a multinational company in the medical device industry and/or technology and SaaS sector

  • Bachelor’s degree, law or business studies preferred

  • English language proficiency

  • Knowledge and experience in global privacy laws and data protection frameworks

  • Customer service focused with excellent analytical and problem resolution skills. Solution-oriented with the ability to think ahead and give practical advice by balancing business needs with legal risks

  • One or more certifications from recognized institutions; for example, IAPP’s CIPP certification or equivalent (with an emphasis on CIPM) is preferred

  • Familiar with Privacy management and automation tools (e.g. OneTrust) is a plus
