About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Cloud Platform and Data Engineering Specialist with expertise in GCP Google Cloud Platform ) or Azure to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing, data engineering, and DevOps.
What you will do
1. Cloud Platform Management : Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (GCP), ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
2. Data Engineering : Design and implement data pipelines, data warehousing, and data processing solutions.
3. Kubernetes and GKE : Develop and deploy applications using Kubernetes and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
4. Python Development : Develop and maintain scripts and applications using Python.
What You Need to Be Successful
1. Experience: 3-6 years of experience in cloud computing, data engineering, and DevOps.
2. Technical Skills:
1. Strong understanding of GCP (Google Cloud Platform) or Azure.
2. Experience with Kubernetes and GKE.
3. Proficiency in Python programming language (8/10).
4. Basic understanding of data engineering and DevOps practices.
3. Soft Skills:
1. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
2. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Bonus Points if You Have
1. GCP: Experience with GCP services, including Compute Engine, Storage, and BigQuery.
2. Data Engineering: Experience with data engineering tools, such as Apache Beam, Dataflow, or BigQuery.
3. DevOps: Experience with DevOps tools, such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Cloud Build.

Our goal is to provide customized, affordable solutions that meet the specific needs of our clients, regardless of their size.Role DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Freelance Data Modeler to work remotely on designing, governing, and implementing conceptual, logical, and physical data models across modern cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with SQL Data Warehouses, Databricks Delta Lakehouse, and other MPP databases, combined with domain knowledge across Customer, Sales, Finance, Supplier, and Manufacturing.Responsibilities:Independently design and deliver conceptual, logical, and physical data models for cloud and on-premises platforms (SQL Data Warehouse, Databricks Delta Lakehouse, Spark, etc.).Govern data design and modelling by documenting metadata, business definitions, and constructing database objects for enterprise and investment projects.Build a deep understanding of enterprise business domains (Customer, Sales, Finance, Supplier, Technology Inventory) to create scalable and reusable data solutions.Lead collaborative reviews of data model design, security, and code to ensure alignment with data product development.Demonstrate expertise across multiple data paradigms: low-latency, relational, analytical, unstructured data lakes, and SAP data models.Develop reusable, cloud-centric data models and support data mapping and integration efforts.Partner with data stewards to support data discovery, governance, and business stakeholder engagement.Provide data analysis, requirements gathering, solution development, and design reviews for new and enhanced applications.Assist with data sourcing, profiling, planning, and transformation activities.Support data lineage mapping and creation of Source-to-Target Mappings (STTM) for ETL and BI developers.Required Skills:Strong proficiency with data modelling tools (ER/Studio, Erwin, IDM/ARDM).Experience in domain-specific data modelling for CPG, Manufacturing, Sales, Finance, Supplier, Customer.Hands-on expertise with at least one MPP database technology (Databricks Lakehouse, Redshift, Synapse, Teradata, Snowflake).Experience with Git Hub or other version control systems, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.Familiarity with metadata management, data lineage, and glossaries.Working knowledge of Agile, Dev Ops, and Data Ops methodologies.Understanding of SAP data models (HANA, S/4 HANA, Retail, and third-party retail data like IRI, Nielsen).Nice-to-Have:Prior freelance/consulting experience delivering data modelling and data governance solutions.Strong communication skills to collaborate with business stakeholders, data stewards, and technical teams.
