Role Purpose:

Design, Calculations, and identification of electrical system for new built, retrofit & conversion projects. Preparing documents and drawings for classification society and client. Provide Engineering support for major conversion such as FPSO, FSO & RIAP projects and yard activities. Support project tenders by estimating and preparing MTO. Prepare and maintain project planning documents

Reporting to: Assistant Manager - EIT Engineering - Global Service Centre

Key Role Responsibilities:

 Implement approved departmental policies, processes, procedures and provide instructions to subordinates and monitor their adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.
Ensure employees are aware and follow the information Security Rules and data security measures to protect the company information / intellectual properties.
arry out duties assigned by superior for day-to-day operations and to ensure them to compliance with the established standards and procedures
repare project deliverables list for electrical, plan electrical section deliverables as per overall project schedule/milestones, indication of required manpower and keep track records on progress of deliverables. 
 entification, selection, and design of electrical system / equipment for projects, as required
ndertaking design verification and calculations, as required
reparation of all electrical drawings, documentations and lists required for the project
reparation of documentation for approval of Class and statutory bodies
riting technical specifications for shipboard equipment
dentification of changes of project specifications or deliverables, variations to contractual scope, schedule impact due to client’s engineering delays and rising change orders
 ticipating in design reviews, inter-discipline checks, 3D model reviews and implementation necessary follow up actions timely
uide and supervise the electrical drafting team to produce 3D model and electrical deliverables
lan and maintain manpower and other resources required for smooth operation of the section.
ollow up with trades and carry out inspections during vessel construction as necessary
stimate man-hours and materials for delegated aspects of work.
onduct shipyard audits, risk assessment and training as required.
eview third party technical documents & drawings and clarify technical issues
esolve Classification society comments and incorporate client’s comments /remarks cost effectively
 anize and supervise the activities and work of a small team of subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific area of electrical engineering activity is carried out in an efficient and procedurally compliant manner.
ontribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
 Pr re departmental reports on time and accurately to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards.
repare progress report and track records of project engineering deliverables for electrical section and indicate/highlight delay from client engineering deliverables.

Skills & Competencies:

- 15 years relevant experience in offshore Oil & Gas industry in design office, shipyard with similar scope,
ust be fluent in English
ery good knowledge in technical terms and report writing skills.
nowledge of additional languages is added advantage
echnical knowledge of designing of electrical, control and communication systems in basic, detail and production stages for systems for offshore FPSO, FSO, platforms etc and marine vessel.
xperience with FEED stage design activities for FPSO, FEED verification and EPC project experience for offshore FPSO project
echnical knowledge of installation and commissioning of electrical, control and communication systems.
ery good background with resolution of technical issues during projects planning and execution phases.

Minimum Education & Qualifications:

achelor/Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

- 15 years relevant experience in offshore Oil & Gas industry in design office, shipyard with similar scope,
xperience in power generation, distribution system & safety.

Desirable Qualifications (Not Mandatory):

aster’s Degree in related field
 bership in IET or/and IEEE.

 perience in Telecom & Navigation systems
orking experience in shipyard, major Production / Construction sites and heavy industrial segments.
