We are looking for a QA Specialist – Civil Design Tools   with a background in Civil Engineering  to join our QA team. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of Bentley’s Civil software products through rigorous testing, validation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Design and execute test cases based on product specifications and design documents.
• Perform functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
• Develop and maintain test plans and scripts.
• Log, track, and manage software defects through the bug lifecycle.
• Validate customer-reported issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Collaborate with development and product teams to ensure quality standards.
• Support internal teams (e.g., Sales) with product insights when needed.
• Continuously learn and stay updated on Bentley’s Civil product suite.
• Recommend improvements to enhance product quality and user experience.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering  (mandatory).
• Experience: 5–7 Years
• Industry: Civil Engineering / Software Quality Assurance
• Mandate experience in transportation design (roads, rail, site).
• Proficiency with CAD tools  like OpenRoads, MicroStation, Railtrack, InRoads, or MX.
• Understanding of software testing and QA processes .
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with 2D/3D geometry and mathematical concepts .
• Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
• Experience in CAD product testing  is a plus.

• Designed, developed, and maintained automated, scalable RTL-to-GDSII physical design flows covering synthesis, floorplanning, PnR, CTS, routing, and sign-off.

• Led tool evaluation and benchmarking (Synopsys Fusion Compiler/ICC2, Cadence Innovus/Genus, Mentor Calibre) to ensure best-in-class performance and PPA.

• Automated flow steps using TCL, Python, and Perl , improving turn-around time and reducing manual intervention.

Key Responsibilities

Flow Development & Automation: Design, develop, and maintain a robust, automated, and

scalable physical design flow for synthesis, floorplanning, placement, clock tree synthesis (CTS),

routing, and sign-off verification.

Tool Evaluation & Benchmarking: Lead the evaluation, selection, and deployment of new EDA

tools and technologies. Conduct rigorous benchmarking of tools from major vendors (Synopsys,

Cadence, Mentor) to ensure our flow is best-in-class.

Methodology Enhancement: Proactively identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the current

flow. Develop and implement innovative methodologies to improve PPA, reduce turn-around time

(TAT), and enhance design productivity.

Technical Leadership & Support: Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for the physical design

team. Provide expert-level support and guidance on tool usage, flow issues, and complex design

closure challenges.

Vendor Collaboration: Work closely with EDA vendors to resolve tool bugs, drive feature

Synthesis & Place and Route: Deep expertise with industry-standard tools such as Synopsys

power analysis (RedHawk, Voltus), and reliability (Totem).

Visual Design Interns at Sparklin are part visual artists, part brand whisperers, and full-time creative troublemakers. You’ll help brands go from “meh” to memorable, through punchy packaging, scroll-stopping social posts, and campaigns that people actually talk about.
