Role Overview
We're looking for a Sales Engineer – Control & Safety Valves to join our dynamic team. You'll combine technical expertise with strong sales skills to grow revenue, develop new business, and build lasting relationships with customers in industries such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Mining, and Power Generation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular customer visits to understand process control needs and build strong relationships
- Provide technical consultation on valve sizing, selection, and application
- Deliver engaging technical presentations and product demonstrations
- Prepare detailed technical & commercial proposals; negotiate pricing and contract terms
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets
- Monitor market trends and identify growth opportunities
- Manage existing accounts and drive upselling/cross-selling
- Collaborate with internal engineering, product management, and inside sales teams
- Follow up on proposals and convert them to sales orders
- Provide after-sales support and technical assistance
What We're Looking For
- Strong knowledge of control and safety valves, actuators, and industrial process systems
- Familiarity with brands like Fisher, IMI, Metso, Koso, Valmet, CCI
- Proven track record in business development and technical sales
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Proficiency in English is mandatory.
- Readiness to travel extensively within the region
- Prior experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Mining, or Power Generation industries
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills
- The scope of the work would include constant travel specifically within West, Central, Eastern and Southern African countries.
